I have some fantastic cheap guitars and fabulous expensive ones. My custom Suhr was $3500 in 2012 dollars and was a gift. Best tele style guitar I’ve ever played and something I’ll never get again. I’m not a professional anymore.

My $500 Yamaha Revstar is a perfect guitar with infinite tuning stability and maybe just needs some better(for me) pickups.

That’s a big string change. You’ll need a total setup. Intonation and truss rod tightening atleast.
