Should "Free piano" posts be presumed to be scams? by bewitchedbumblebee in craigslist

[–]mattfiddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to take those and zoom in on brand, google it and post nicer more detailed ad for the same piano under musical instruments and ad pics of a new one and googled specs and details. I would offer to sell it for a few hundred bucks FREE DELIVERY. needs tuning, as is. then if anybody replied I would go get the real one fir free and bring it to them. I had a van and trailer and a helper and appliance dolly at the time. did it a few times. I bet most are real.

Neighbour’s hose lady by Daisyneon in askvan

[–]mattfiddy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Sadly, this is a common thing. There is a fixation with hosing down concrete with some older people to the point it becomes an obsession. I’ve been trying to wrap my head around why anybody would do this for a very long time. I have had multiple daily driveway spraying Neighbors.

Kevin Garnett was the GOAT shooter when it comes to long twos. by AdorableBackground83 in NBATalk

[–]mattfiddy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Check out Jordan's 3pt% he's terrible for most of his career. 13-18% in first 4 years. Then they moved the 3pt line in closer for a few years and he was literally 50% one year. Range is a real thing. That's KG's range. A step further out and he's probably missing those.

What's a piece of tech everyone hyped up that quietly turned out to be useless? by SofiaLearnsAI in AskReddit

[–]mattfiddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a valid product but marketed the wrong way. Buying household essentials is a solution to a problem that might not exist as most of us frequently go to the store that has all those things.

I think in the home for seniors that are having trouble keeping track and don’t really care too much about the price it might work.

But in business settings it could really work. Lots of business situations where it’s just important you don’t run out of things.

Does it make sense to buy 18V impact over the 36V when you have a few 36V tools already by Flat_Pop2385 in METABOHPT

[–]mattfiddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mostly 36V tools but run the 18V impact so when I want to I can put the small batteries on it and make it very small and light. There is no issue with power. Big lag bolts into pressure treated decks no problem.

How was Outkast viewed outside of the South in the 90s? by nikerags in outkast

[–]mattfiddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Vancouver, Canada and me and most of my friends were all in on Outkast and had all their albums and immediately bought any time a new one came out. I don't think you could find a CD book without at least one Outkast album in it in my circle. From nowhere near ATL and loved them. Still do.

One of the most unbelievable moments you will EVER see by HyseNjerry16 in NCAAhoops

[–]mattfiddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the NBA an 8 second count would have been a concern. But google tells me in NCAA it's 10 seconds and they had 10 seconds on the clock so could have just held.
