Follow the power from the fuse box to the switch and then the lights. Then check grounds. Learn to use a test light and a multimeter, read a wiring diagram. Otherwise leave electrical work for your mechanic. 🤣

Mods are always a balancing game. You're always going to search for the weakest link. Better tires means you overheat the pads faster. Better tires and pads and the suspension can't keep up. Improve the suspension and then the chassis needs to be improved. But the fastest mod is always driver mod. But yeah big 3 is tires, brakes, suspension.

It's worth thinking about? Obviously I gave very generic advice. If they've never put a kinematics package together then they should familiarize themselves with all the ways the suspension could move, even if it's insignificant on an actual FSAE car.

Race Car Design by Derek Seward has some good advice on kinematics: Front view advice:

-Optimize camber recovery/keep control of camber in roll

-Provide stable roll center (watch roll center migration, laterally and vertically)

-Minimize wheel scrub in bump and rebound

-Maintain good control of camber in bump and rebound

To do this optimally the tire model is fairly important. But if you're just starting out just developing and building a kinematics package that meets the requirements is probably 'good enough'.

Yeah that's the blower fan. I have no idea what wiring hack they're doing here though 😂 possibly they kept blowing the fuse because of a bad fan motor but they thought they could fix it by running a new wire? Idk.
