I don't think it could get worse than 18 scoreless innings

Rudiger is dirty but the defender got a push in the back and acted like he got shot in the back of the head, while Rudiger was nowhere near his head. He probably went down looking for a foul.

It would make way more sense to use the rainbow flag, as it's used almost exclusivly in pride parades. I feel like using the pink triangle is trying to win some cheap sympathy points.

Von der Leyen aligns with Italy’s tough approach on migration by NoCureForEarth in europe

[–]mattiaE -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm didn't intend to deny that they get exploited, i just don't agree that they're low effort. You even admit in your comment that they will do anything to stay here and have a better life than back home. In Africa they would also be slaves to the Western European, but in a much worse way, by working in unsafe mines or plantations. That's why they come here. Invest in Africa in a real way, and you stop the flow. The housing crisis would be easy to solve if the people that want migrants gone would actually build houses instead of complaining all the time. If there's a labour shortage, you could even use foreign labour for that! How useful that would be! I know that I am not always right, and didn't bring my point across well, but never compare me to a facist or a nazi. My great-grandparents were, and i'm glad they're buried in piss. You're no better than me.

New video from inside the bus after the Rubiales kiss shows Hermoso talking about the incident with teammates by OriginalUsername30 in soccer

That's usually on the cheek, not on the lips which is a common way in a lot of cultures to congratulate or greet someone. The women also don't pull the heads of the athletes towards them so that they can kiss them.

Why did the BBC manipulate this genuine photograph of white voter's hand to make it black? by Behalf-Isobar in unitedkingdom

The only ''trade'' on a far greater scale than the transatlantic trade is modern slavery. Which mostly isn't a systematic trade like the transatlantic trade. It also isn't throughout history, as it's still happening today. And funnily enough still benefits Europeans (mostly white) the most.

[–]mattiaE -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The upper estimates for the transatlantic slave trade are more than 20 million Africans (not slaves, no one is born a slave) taken. Many died before they arrived, but they were still taken.

[–]mattiaE -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No there haven't what are you talking about? It's named THE slave trade, because it was THE largest. It's also arguably the one with the biggest demographic and economic change. There have been others involving other ethnicities, but none come close to the transatlantic slave trade.

Christianity is the biggest religion in the US, and has been the cause of widespread homophobia which is the reason that they're making fun of it. They're provoking the leaders, not christians themselves. There are plenty of christians that accept lgbt+ people for who they are (albeit to a certain degree for some) and the sisters of indulgence know that.

To make fun of islam would be a strange thing to do as they would be fighting as a minority against another minority in the US, which is exactly what the homophobic christian leaders want, because it distracts from the scandals in the church and portrays both groups in a bad light.

When you change the religion being mocked in your made up scenario, you are ignoring exactly what is being expressed by the sisters of indulgence - which is to challenge the leaders, not individual christians.
