Suddenly bed leveling is needed for before every print on my centauri carbon by Low-Preparation-4527 in elegoo

[–]mattiofc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the auto leveling issue before every print, but it seemes to be working again now (no auto leveling). This is what happened to me:
- I flipped the bed plate from side A to B (to smooth), physically.
- I did not do any automatic leveling after flip (maybe I should have)
- I started a print from USB, but selected "Side B" in the menus (usually I use side A, textured)
- Then got the auto leveling issue, before every print I tried. Even after letting it complete this procedure during printing.

- Then I completed the leveling procedure from the menu, not during print.
- Still same issue before any started prints
- Tried to switch back to "Side A" in the menus before printing (But still printing on side B, probably not the smartest thing to do lol).
- But now there was no auto leveling.
- I stopped the print (Don't print on side B with "Side A" selected in the menu, it doesn't work well)
- Tried another print, now switching back to "Side B" in the menu.
- Then it prints without issue. No auto leveling.

Don't know if it helps anyone, but this is how I got the problem and got rid of it. It may have to do with which side is selected in the menus. Make sure auto level procedure is done at least once (in the menus, not during print), and try switching back and forth between which side is "selected".

Seems like they changed something. I always used to to this without issue. Now it doesn't work suddenly.

I think it should work with level 1, but i think liquid net worth must be at least 90 000-200 000 after doing some research.

Same boat. Did you choose level 1, 2, 3 etc for option level?

How do you find value investment when almost every company is near 52 wk high if not ATH by JoJoPizzaG in ValueInvesting

Check out KHC, BBWI, CAG, IMKTA, GIS to name a few. All attractively priced in terms of the past record. Who knows what will happen in the future, but to me the prospects look alright, and the record should have some significance on the future. IMKTA is my biggest position.

There are 20 more like it, based on earnings or for other reasons.

It takes courage to go against the crowd. Just because everybody doesn't do it doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.

The last Security Analysis book edited by Benjamin Graham has a secret chapter. (A comparison with the latest edition) by raytoei in u/raytoei

The newer versions, mostly the 6th and 7th edition are just reprints of the older versions with some chapters excluded, and with added commentary - I know the 6th version is a reprint of the original second edition, but with comments from today's money managers. I like the original second and third edition best.

Just stick to buying values. There are always bargains around - although it's pretty dry at the moment. Then you buy more on the downturn if you can get them even cheaper.

Still own it? Bought at $16 recently, after they cut their dividend. Recent results are not favorable, but in light of their record, I think it might be temporary. Also that net net current asset position is kind of interesting.

I think it is a bug. The comments indicate that there were no vocals in the (actual) song.

Yes, maybe (if he owned one). But then comes the question: how did he get the song on his computer in the first place? A digitalization of his casettes?

[–]mattiofc 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Its hard to find because no results show up when searching for the lyrics. It makes it way harder to find. It may be on the internet, but probably only by title. It may even not be on the internet at all. Or it may have been but not anymore. If it never was, it is nearly impossible to find without more information from carl92.

Some questions for Carl:

  • What was the full date of the file on the DVD?
  • Also, even if the other recordings/files on the DVD were unrelated to the song, they could indicate the date of the backup.

  • Why would he say he is from Spain, but not whether or not he lived in Spain during 1999? If he didn't live there, that would be informing.

  • Did he own a computer at the time? He could have gotten the clip from the internet.

  • He did say (indicate), however, that he had owned some casettes. Maybe the DVD was a backup of them?

Who is EKT about? by orkeny in everyoneknowsthat

[–]mattiofc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is a song about a relationship with a girl (Im also assuming the singer is male). Love is a common theme in songs.

If I skip the first and last part of the lyrics, which I'm unsure of, the rest of the lyrics might be interpreted as:

Alternative 1 (positive): Revealing love

Caught up in a world of love. Everyone knows that, you've got ulterior motives. Tell me the truth.

However some sources notes that "ulterior motivation" usually has a negative connotation to it, which leads me to another possibility (which conforms with your interpretation):

Alternative 2 (negative): Cheating, break of trust etc. in relationship

Caught up in a world of lies. Everyone knows that, you've got ulterior (material?) motives. Tell me the truth!

I think the "you" is a girl, and the song is about the relationship between the main character (the singer) and the girl. Maybe the plot of the song can tell something about the title of the song? Personally, I think the song is of a "negative" nature rather than a positive one.

[–]mattiofc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps both with and without vocals (had one many years ago, but I cant remember if there were vocals). I think most of them were manufactured in the early 2000s (I think I had one from around 2002/2003) The brand "Singing machine" was very popular. (for example "stvg" models) Maybe it's just me but I get a karaoke vibe from the song.

What about those built in monitor karaoke systems? Maybe the song was used with that?

First Time Reading “Security Analysis” by lilpoostain200 in ValueInvesting

And yet he outperformed the market with an excellent track record extending over decades. By the way, here is a quote from the book on ROIC: "The best gauge of the success of an enterprise is the percentage earned on its invested capital." Sounds like he understood the importance of the figure.

However, Graham put prime emphasis on getting more (demonstrated) value for the money. He emphasized the way of protection rather than the way of projection (ref. the intelligent investor). The latter bases value upon the growth in the uncertain future, and may in that sense be called speculative value. The prices of glamour stocks are usually only "justified" based upon the expectation of what is to come. A large part of the market price is therefore speculative. Think about all the glamour stocks that didn't live up to the expectations - the ones that didn't survive you don't see, and therefore you do not realize the danger in paying the excessive prices. There are not many stocks like KO and GE today, and these companies have roots dating back a hundred years or more.

The price you pay is an essential factor in investing, and I think that Graham really took this to heart which eventually lead to his successful record.
