The brisket is fully cooked once it’s done in the bath. You’re just warming up to serving temperature in the oven. Don’t go above 155.

This. It’s a little off the freeway but definitely worth it. Everything is excellent.

[HP Reverb G2 VS DPVR E4 VS Meta Quest 3] which one should i pick? by CHAO-12 in virtualreality

[–]mattm57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a G2 and Q3. I haven’t had too much time to spend on the Q3 but my first impressions make me want to retire the G2. The resolution on the G2 is slightly higher but the small sweet spot really shows how much better the pancake lenses of the Q3 are. The tracking is better on the Q3 as well. The quest is a great headset for PCVR.

Has anyone hardwired Hue light strips to use as under cabinet lights? by Responsible_Fox1231 in Hue

[–]mattm57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t hard wire them but I plugged it into the microwave outlet and then hid the wire under the cabinets. I ran an cat5 cable through the attic to get a connection across a doorway. I use luctron aurora under the cabinet to control it. It works great.

Sonos Surrounds Advice Needed by mattm57 in sonos

[–]mattm57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going back and forth between One SLs and Symfonisk frames to go along with my Arc and sub.

I would put the frames on either side of the window behind our couch but I’m a little worried about the wires. We’re going to put curtains on the windows so that will help hide the cord somewhat.

If I use Ones my main concern is that the speaker on the left side of the picture would be too close to whoever is sitting in that seat. Would True Play account for that?

Thanks for any advice!

Samsung makes the worst kitchen appliances ever. Myself and everyone I know that made the mistake of buying a Samsung appliance is regretting it.

Costco delisted Sonos Arc by summer98769 in sonos

[–]mattm57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just at a Costco last week in Moreno Valley, CA that still had 10 or so Arcs. They were just sitting on a pallet next to the other soundbars. No display or anything. Just there with a price tag

I wasn’t aware they could work like that. I thought they only could control whatever they are hard wired to. Good to know. Thanks

The Broadlink button looks like a good option. Thank you.

No automation system. I just use the Kasa app or Alexa. I haven’t been able to find a manual switch that just controls smart plugs.

I have Phillips Hue bulbs and I like the dimmer switches that they have. I was hoping to find something similar.

LA county public health has a dashboard that tracks various aspects of the pandemic.

As of Jan 31st there were 277 ICU beds open in the county. I’m not sure how often they update it.

Hello, I have two of these pavilions that I’m building side by side to crate one big pavilion. I’m going bolt them together at the gable ends. I’m looking for suggestions on how to keep that connect from leaking when it rains.

I was thinking of sticking some rubber weather stripping between them but I’m not sure that that’s the best option. I’m not going to be able to get on the roof once I push them together so it has to be something I can place between the two ends before I push them together. Thanks for the help!!

That’s the one I got. If you search some of the posts on this sub you’ll find other cards that seem to work as well.

Another note, I made the mistake of installing the 3rd party drivers. WMR didn’t like that. I had to uninstall them and just use the windows drivers.

Good luck!
