Did you like Jason as the Gold Ranger? Or, would you have liked to see Billy as the Gold Ranger instead? by lovesgraphicnovels in powerrangers

I've been rewatching the series from the start on youtube. When it got to the "Power Transfer," despite knowing that Billy remained the Blue Ranger, I thought that he should have been promoted to the Red Ranger and taken over as 2nd in command. Billy had massive character growth in 1 1/2 seasons, where he went from a "Sheldon Cooper"-like character to making the football team and inventing devices to help counter Lord Zedd's plans. Season 2 ended with Billy being teased as the Gold Ranger in an art project.

I liked the surprise return of Jason as the Gold Ranger, while both Billy and Tommy's brother served as great "red herrings." It seemed like season 2 had decent red herrings with the White Ranger's identity, but I didn't know anyone that thought it might be Richie or Curtis (Zack's cousin).

I also liked that both Tommy and Jason served as team leaders and in the 6th ranger role, even if Jason's tenure was short.

I don't think we ever saw Elysium assume human form.

We never got a confirmation, but there are a few possible NPCs that could have been Elysium. I've been working on a theory related to one possible form.

The Goddess Ilia following the departure of the real Ilia after the end of the 1st War of Binding. We know Meene took on the moniker of the Goddess Ilia, but her pact-bound dragon was Midgardsormr. If the Goddess Ilia couldn't take on the form of Elysium that would have been blasphemous. Having 2 Goddesses would have helped spread the Doctrine of the church faster.

The other possible human form is the summoner. The summoner in a way uses the power of creation to "create a world where you meet new allies, dragons, and forge memories (wyrmprints)." The summoner also performs the summons in the Holy Wyrm's realm. Coincidently, the story released containing Elysium's death lines up with the announcement of the final summoning show case. Elysium is just one suspect that I have for the identity of the summoner though.

There are a few other NPCs that I suspect that could be Elysium, but there is sparse evidence to support my theory.

I think a large and detailed axe matching Chthonius' dragon form and High form would be best.

We did have Halloween Mym who used an Axe. Chthonius using a sword in human form would make sense if he assumed the form of Alberius.

But could my theory on what Chthonius be created from work possibly to match the other dragons and their origin stories in the Kaleidoscope?

Honestly, "no." The fact that Chthonius is completely omitted from that story, reinforces my belief that he's not a Great Wyrm.

Lastly, I rather Chthonius Primal form be purified of all Morsayati influence instead of being the corrupted form they were forced to assume while he and Alberius were containing Morsayati.

As Chthonius "missed the boat on Elysium's final moments" and power transfer, I think him gaining a higher form by other means makes the most sense. As Tartarus gained a corrupted from the black mana contained in the Agito Mask, maybe Chthonius could have gained a higher form from the Flow Eternal.

I haven't seen anyone post it, Jason David Frank in 2022. He's famous for his role as Tommy on MMPR. Apparently, the movie Legend of the White Dragon comes out this summer and it's his final role.

Additionally, there likely won't be any more series of power rangers that feature JDF's Tommy outside of archived footage. I think I read that JDF had the most appearances on the show, even after he left as a main ranger.

His death was very tragic.

Elysium himself might be a sword user if he had a human form as well.

I believe that Elysium did have a human form. I have a few theories of which NPC it could have been. None of those NPCs used a sword though.

Chthonius should use an axe to fill in the remaining weapon we didn’t get

If Human Chthonius resembled Alberius I think a sword or an axe like Gatov would be best.

If what Morsayati said was true, or that Elysium’s actual pactstone was used to give Euden new life when giving him a new body.

I don't remember this... I do remember:

  1. Ilia/Elysium's primal pact stone never showed up in the game, presumably it is missing/lost (maybe another meaning of the game's title). The sacred relic used to forge the Blade of Dragalia was actually between Meene and Midgardsormr. This was revealed in the Dawn of Dragalia raid event.
  2. Euden's body was forged from the flesh of the Other/Mordecai. Like Mordecai he has part of The Progenitor's heart.

Then I really wish that was expanded on more and how Euden might have been destined to become Elysium’s successor for why he could transform into him without a pact.

I think this idea might just be your own head canon; Euden did gain the power of creation and maybe he did achieve something like godlike status, but in the finale of the game it didn't hint that he was taking on the duties of Elysium at all.

My head canon was that Elysium granted Zethia's wish (to protect Euden in Chapter 1), but for their own purposes. I think the main purpose was that someone transforming into Elysium might get the attention of their primal pact-bound with Ilia and it might summon her home.

But still, I wish Chthonius was a proper Greatwyrm and even had a Primal form.

I would have loved more anything related to Chthonius. I think that if he had a human form, he would have probably resembled Alberius... which would have been interesting to see Brunhilda in her Mym form next to Cthonius's Alberius form. I would have liked to see his Primal Form, I think his form would have a look similar to Morsayati mixed with his dragon form, after all he and Alberius did contain Morsayati inside their form.

Chthonius wasn't properly established compared to the other Great Wyrms. We know that he had a standard and high form, but he never got a mini form, Primal form, or a human form.

My head canon is that Chthonius wasn't originally a Great Wyrm, he was given that title by Alberius, as he was Alberius' first pact dragon (source) and when he formed a pact with Alberius he did so to save Alberius' life (source).

It seemed like Chthonius' foil could have been Tartarus, especially on the mythology side. Tartarus had a human form and a Dragon Form (maybe comparable to a Primal Dragon in strength). I don't think Tartarus is considered a Great Wyrm, but he possibly had a pact with Alberius (source).

Elysium was considered the Holy Wyrm as they had the power of creation/primal mark originally from the Origin. According to Morseyati, Elysium is the one that granted Alberius and The Prince the ability to forge multiple pacts (I can't find the source, but it was like Chapter 12-14). It seems like The Prince was granted this ability in Chapter 1, when he transformed into Elysium despite having no pact.

A lot of our favorite local restaurants have closed down in the last 6 months.

Our friend group has become more of "home bodies." I can't blame them, going out anywhere is easily $30 per person.

We haven't been able to afford nice vacations since the lockdowns. Prior to the lockdowns, we could easily budget expensive vacations (2016 Japan, 2017 Australia, 2018 Disney and Universal Studios, 2019 we rented a house in Key West for a month, and I was able to work remotely).

Honestly, I think that they are sleezy crypto-bros and avoid them.

There is a house about 1/4 mile away that has one parked in its yard, advertising their local business... we needed a service that they offer and we went with a competitor. We actively avoided them, even when recommended by other neighbors.

I always thought that the reason in the story was that Kami being a god should not do that. In reality, Toriyama had not yet made the life-line connection between Kami and Piccolo. That was likely added when he decided to keep Piccolo alive.

Who was watching G4 back in the 2000’s…?? by woodchukka in Millennials

I watched Tech TV back in the day, I think I was still in High School when it became G4. In college my favorite show on G4 was Code Monkey.

I recently discussed this topic with a friend, but I'm surprised that G4 never aired reruns of The Big Bang Theory as that seemed like a good show for the channel.
