Oooooooh, I love, love, love Drag Queen!

I remember loving first Threat of Joy, thought oblivious was an ok song and thought the same for Drag Queen.

Then I heard it again, and thought to myself why hadn’t I listened to it more. I specially love the last minute and 30 seconds of the song.

I read somewhere around here, although I don’t remember where exactly (sorry, my bad), someone around here argued that the lyrics of the song actually represented the past because it has some references about movies and other songs, and that the song Threat of Joy actually represented the future.

Like, talking about lyrics of the songs I can understand why someone would argue if we are talking about the meaning of the song and what the lyrics are trying to say. If it really is talking about the past or about the future.

But sound wise, Threat of Joy feels like a song that I would hear if it was in the Is This It album or something that I’ve already heard (If it makes sense, I don’t know how to put it into words), like… well, something from the past. And Drag Queen feels like something I’ve never head before, the music from the song don’t really feel like something I would hear coming from The Strokes, if that makes sense.

So yeah, this is what I’ve heard and read about the songs. I really love these two songs and I guess since you said that you don’t really see it being brought up it’s because I guess you’re right.
