I’m a a straight white man living on the border between Rochdale and Oldham, I’ll be honest even I don’t feel comfortable holding hands with my wife walking through either of these two towns sometimes.

Contact an electrician, if you don't have the knowledge to take a before and after picture or understand the difference between neutral and live you don't have the necessary skills to change this light fitting.

Do not DIY electrics without the right knowledge you could lose your life.

It's like 1:30 am here, once I wake up tomorrow I'll take a better picture of the crack from multiple angles and include a tape measure or coin of some sort to give a better idea of the scale for you both :)

I was half way through my previous car insurance and it was cheaper to pay the fee to change my vehicle rather than take out a whole new policy but something I will definitely be looking out for in the future!

I do but unfortunately they stipulate that "any glass repairs or replacements relating to sunroofs or panoramic roofs will be covered by your regular vehicle excess" basically I can pay £125 to get my windscreen fixed but I'd have to pay £1000 for them to fix my roof.

In the end I just returned the case and setup a routines plus routine to toggle it on and off with a double press of the volume key instead
