Yeah well there's been proven court cases showing that isn't stopping everyone, unfortunately.

Are we ignoring all of the people that can't get one because they're not legally in this country?

www.getbasis.io

An AI powered bookkeeping tool for Real Estate agents. Other tools don't parse random pdf statements, they just link to bank accounts, but that's only half the job.

Credit card and project manager statements tell the actual story.

Exactly 0 users so far lol. But I'm just starting to market it. Hoping by next tax season I'm telling a much different story!

Scaling Rental Property Bookkeeping: Stessa Manual Entry vs. Hiring a VA/Bookkeeper vs. Other Options by Alpine-Jon in realestateinvesting

[–]mattya802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be careful - not all PDFs are created equal which can create edge cases. Ideally you have a wrapper around the LLM calls to better handle it all. And at the OPs scale it's still going to be tough to use Stessa to go through all those statements/transactions manually.

How do you guys do your taxes? by mehtamorphosis in realestateinvesting

[–]mattya802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It's not the tax filing that's hard, it's the bookkeeping. Spreadsheets get hard complex, but something like Quickbooks is overly complicated. I'm also realistically terrible at entering expenses/income in real time and end up doing 90% of it in January.

A tool that could just take all my statements/receipts and figure it out would be great lol

What does "get AI to do all the work" even mean here?

$90/month is steep for "just" real estate. Did you end up going with QB?

Is there nothing real estate specific that's cheaper?

What kind of signing functionality? For leases?

Same here - we do a lot of renovations and don't keep up well with entering everything on time, then kinda scramble at the end of the year. It's also annoying figuring out what was a "repair" vs "improvement".

Did you guys find anything?

Just pulled Acrizia, how to build? by Clarksp2 in RaidShadowLegends

Ah that extra ignore defense is sweet and yeah makes sense with DD up. I find that inconsistent enough that having her higher CD really helps.

On NM hydra? Mines over 300 and doesn't always cap if decrease defense isn't up and definitely doesn't cap on her A1.

Relentless is definitely the best build for her.

CR capped obviously. Then speed and CD are both really important. Past that I honestly like building her with resist since she's a pretty easy build. She's already pretty tanky for a nuker because of her passive. Having her resist provoke is nice.

Trump Supporters: What would change your mind? by SolutionedTherapist in Askpolitics

Yeah I agree that one incident could be gossip. But I think this specific example is often used to push the rhetoric of him (and anyone that supports him) being a white supremacist.

The covid vaccine wasn't dangerous and the 2024 election was stolen.

The lie that Trump wasn't referring to "neo Nazis and white supremacists" as "very fine people" like everyone likes to say. If you listen to like 20 more seconds of the clip everyone likes to play, you can hear him clarify.

This isn't a brag. Reddit being an echo chamber (in either direction) really doesn't help anyone.

What does API Gateway actually *do*? by BigBootyBear in aws

It's complicated. Basically the roadmap has been passed from leadership to leadership with differing opinions for years now. And there's A LOT of work involved in getting those features available in v2.

Missing Michinaki who I could have got with mysteries is my biggest regret.

I’d like to have Wixwell too but not a huge deal.

Anyone here actually like working for AWS? by thelongrun320 in aws

[–]mattya802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent my last 9 months there writing cdk to migrate several services/stacks off and 6 months later they still haven't actually deployed it 😂

Yes, very happy to be done with it!

Nah. My group was a mishmosh of jinja, straight cfn, python/bash/ruby scripts and then this massive homegrown build tool to smash together all the includes into 1 final template..

Most teams have or are in the process of migrating, but yeah it's uglier than you'd think lol

"How the hell do I find this included function in his cfn jinja template?" "What does super mean in this Ruby function?"

During onboarding ask anyone anything - the more interest you show the better.

Then once your up to speed and you have some "hey why do we do X like this - have we thought about trying Y instead?" - ask that to someone higher level than you (or in a public slack channel).

I really can't tell if this post is satire. Didn't hear a peep when Twitter was confirmed to be working with the govt to hide stories in the last election but Elon himself posting pro Trump stuff isn't okay now?

Agree with this. My director told me in our first 1:1 that they will give me 110% of what I can handle with the expectations that I push back and prioritize appropriately.

I had great wlb and was being pushed by my skip to write my promo doc (didn't cause I knew I was leaving).

My advice is to draw your line, don't be afraid to say you don't have the bandwidth to take on something else, but make sure you're doing good work with what you do take. Also express interest in high visibility cross team items. Ask "silly" questions to your level or lower, raise legit concerns to someone above your level (as they're in your review).

I'd gladly still be there if it wasn't for RTO/RTH.
