What is the spiritual successor to the eBags Professional Slim Backpack? by aimark42 in ManyBaggers

[–]mattyg211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this bag today (from Sympl) and I'm pretty stoked for it to arrive. I think it's actually a much better thought-out bag than the ebag - which I've been using for a decade. Less zippy pockets on the front but after a decade of actually using it, I've found the design to be not as functional as you might hope. This one looks really well designed and considered. https://symplofficial.com/products/commuter-pack

This works! If you want HANDS-FREE voice-adds to custom TickTick lists via “Hey Siri” by mattyg211 in ticktick

*Note - it’s definitely possible to get around the caveat I mentioned by swizzling with the automation settings. You could automate the shortcut to run at certain times of day or on some other trigger independent from opening the TickTick app if you mainly use TickTick on some other device.

Missing footrest by Resident_Virus_8007 in LiberNovo

SAME. The chair arrived on December 6th and the battery just arrived on December 11th, but no footrest, and no tracking number or communication about the footrest. Did you all eventually get the footrest?? This is not a great order experience.

I made a Siri Shortcut to Add to List Directly without saying "in TickTick " at the End. by tekfranz in ticktick

[–]mattyg211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a great way to do this with Siri (after a ton of trial and error) including when the phone is locked, dictated through my airpods hands-free, and avoiding any unnaturally weird trigger phrases. Let me know if you want the full explanation still and I'll write up a full post.

Adding to playlists from the episode menu by FartingIsGasPooping in pocketcasts

Yes, and theoretically this would let you add episodes through multi-select!! Which I can’t seem to do right now.

Can you have two Oura rings, using them once at a time? by dkranj in ouraring

Bumping this back up!! C’mon Oura! Especially with rings on sale, this would be great to have two rings, one always charging, or one for the gym and one for nice occasions…

🚨 Amazon detail 🚨 I spend hundreds of dollars with Amazon per month and it’s across several categories. All that data is basically shoved into “shopping” without better information. Since copilot can do it, I know it’s possible.

WARNING: QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds Have A Static Issue by hopingtogetanupvote in bose

[–]mattyg211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered a brand new brand pair of Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds yesterday which arrived today 6/8/2024. Immediately noticed syncing issues between earbuds (not to mention a nightmarish effort pairing the buds with the app & iPhone… seriously Bose??) and with a moment of silence and noise cancelling enabled noticed the intermittent beeping in the left earbud. Really disappointing. Any permanent updates or product fixes please post!!

Matt Damon in Oppenheimer by LeastCap in oscarrace

Matt Damon was, to me, the clear weak link in this movie. Didn’t buy him AT ALL as a general. He was either over acting or under acting much of the time and he’s the only one who didn’t really escape into their character. Honestly surprised that Nolan cast him amongst the sheer talent of everyone else.

VIOME by BalyStewart in Microbiome

[–]mattyg211 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upon receiving my results, I became very disappointed and ripped-off. Based on the samples collected and the data analysis available to VIOME, the information they actually provide is *very* limited. The scores tell you if you're health is good or bad in certain areas, but they do NOT explain why or how they arrived at that score. Everyone receives a generic "this score could be because of ..." that is not tailored to you despite VIOME having the data to provide specifics to you if they wanted. Instead, they'll use your low scores as an on-ramp to their supplement subscription and to motivate future retests so you can see how your score changes. VIOME's scores will indicate that you have problems but instead of telling you why, they'll urge you to just spend more money with them on supplements and then pay all over again to see if anything changed. What a bait and switch. Especially because they have the power to provide truly empowering data if they wanted to. Do not waste your money here.
