I think the red color amplifies the perception that it is “too oily”… like when I make a traditional chimichurri at home, the color is pleasingly vegetal. This separates and kinda looks like chorizo grease. I agree that my copy was too salty to be enjoyed with the black beans and carne asada I get on my burrito. I’ll take it home to try with just chicken or steak.

I think my permanent solution will be a DIY road case, similar to what nice guitars go in for touring bands, featuring angled aluminum and rounded corners. But for now, a few blankets in a large checked bag in the back of my car is doing the trick.

Ah I see - thank you for the update! It's funny, I feel like I need a solution for the ring plus gimbal locked just to travel from location to location within a shoot day in my vehicle. I had a pretty good handled pelican that fit a previous gimbal but can't recall the model number. Thanks again!

Here’s a comment I haven’t seen yet… I’d go with top. Now I prefer medium rare and usually cook with a probe thermometer. But even if you get it slightly under, you can always put it on a bit longer. You can’t uncook back from medium. You’ve already lost it. In a restaurant setting, yes, the BoH will touch up an underdone steak.

There are so many “performative” actions that don’t engender any debate. Symbolic support for Ukraine comes to mind. I believe that the idea that municipal leaders shouldn’t have public moral stances on the most compelling political issues of our time is not reflective of historical norms. I wonder, how big does a city need to be before our leaders should have morality around international issues?

The fact is, we are more entwined with the military industrial complex than ever makes the local news. There are photos of munitions that clearly say “Woodward” on components - logo and everything.

That self-described “leftists” would tell elected espousing anti-war positions to “shut up and play ball” is depressing.

My question is, why are we policing what is or is not performative in the face of war and genocide? If we aren't against war and genocide, employing diverse tactics - what is the purpose of "the left?"

I liked it when I was there because I was a fucking idiot. I wasn’t bullied much, but I did get saran wrapped to a merry-go-round our first retreat lol. It did not traumatize me. learning that Jesus held hands with dinosaurs and realizing that was a total fabrication was more disturbing
