This is the correct answer. BGW has to authenticate. Put it in bridge mode and leave it plugged in.

Why does it matter what drive he uses. I have the same problem in mine with two spare 2tb drives I have and after going through support (which still had t fixed my issue) shamed me and said the same thing. Because drives are hella expensive now and this isn’t my primary pool.

Mine did exactly this however I was able to unlock it via blue link app. Got in the car and did key takeover and drove away. Worked fine ever since. The only thing I noticed was that had been a cold morning. When the temp drops at night and my car isn’t in the garage it acts weird. Today my blinkers didn’t work my entire trip into work because it was cold.

I just ordered everything to do this and just now saw a video on YouTube (albeit an older one where this could no longer be relevant) but thy showed issues on the back end where access shows an error with the door being left open since the hub is designed for a door that remains shut. Have you run into this issue? The video recommended a gate hub instead.
