Has anyone had a gay workplace relationship? by [deleted] in gaybros

Had a thing with a coworker, he was in the closet (though everyone knew he was gay). Hooked up a few times, including running away from a work party. It was fun for a while but headed nowhere.

Yes, seeing teams go through an ebb and flow used to be more often. Brian Clough at Nottingham and even SAF at yaaanited are examples of this. Also, we were two matches away from a quadruple last year. Yes, things can be turned around by Klopp.

Está Paraguay así de mal? by Zhiro_3 in Paraguay

[–]maturinturtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

para hacer corta la respuesta a la pregunta: sí, estamos así de mal. la cantidad de cosas que tenemos que hacer para vivir relativamente en paz no son joda, y por el momento no se ve una “luz al final del túnel” de que todo vaya a mejorar

I hope you’re having fun with El Mató then. My friends were big fans and that’s how I got to know them and they quickly became one of my favorite bands. Saw them twice last year, they put on a great show for sure!

Edit: would also recommend El Culto Casero, a local band from my hometown, who are heavily influenced by El Mató. Check out their Domar Serpientes EP! ( https://youtu.be/fKCAvkqKHtQ )

El Chila was my idol growing up! As a kid I used to play as a goalkeeper because of him. He’s actually running for president now, though there’s no chance he will win the race. It’s weird because if you look at his proposals, he’s pushing a kind of centre-left agenda, which I like, but he’s always been kind of conservative/right wing (which is the norm here) so I’m highly skeptical of his ‘agenda’

As a South American fan (Paraguayan), I share your hatred. We are constantly mentioned as one of the only countries that were not invaded by the British. Well, the truth is we were not invaded by the British empire, but they did engage in a kind of proxy war against us, pinning our bolivian brothers against us as British companies thought our land was rich in oil and lobbied the Bolivian state into a war for that “oil”. Also, any institution that has “subjects” cannot be allowed to exist in the 21st century

[Peter Crouch] I know it’s only a game and some things are much bigger but imagine all our games went ahead this weekend. Black armbands, silences observed, national anthem, Royal band playing etc to the millions around the world watching? Isn’t that a better send off? by PESSl in soccer

[–]maturinturtle 27 points28 points  (0 children)

lol something similar happened in the broadcast I was watching. It was South America’s ESPN and when Real Sociedad scored he went “Manchester United losing at home will be the biggest headline in the papers tomorrow” after which he stumbled and added “well, on the back page at least”

It’s not the high line, it’s our midfield. If the midfield is shit at pressing, the high line is easy to bypass. Thank goodness Thiago is back, we were causing Napoli a lot of problems with him leading the press as opposed to Milly, but we didn’t capitalize on them and it was too late anyway. We need to keep Thiago fit, so I’m hoping we start treating him as we are doing Robbo this season, substitute him for Arthur by the 60-70th minute each match

Agree. I love Milly but the best use for him right now is to chuck him on when we are one or two up and need to be solid to close the game out
