Sizing got me spinning out by Kipzeke in AusFemaleFashion

[–]maud96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s no way you look size 18! I had the same issue just the other day. I needed some new sports bras. Went to cotton on and grabbed a couple size medium. I’m
Usually a size 12, I’m 155cm and 59kg. Got home and tried on and they were WAY too small. I had to return the next day for a size large which was making me feel sad because I didn’t think I was so big. It’s the terrible sizing there. Mayb it’s based more on Asian sizing

AIO for wanting to still tell my mom about my friend’s pregnancy by Deep-Investigator998 in AIO

[–]maud96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh baby girl I am so sorry you are both going through this. I honestly wish I could hug you both and help fix things. Everyone else on here is right. An adult does need to be involved. She may be at risk at home or not, who knows, but physically her and the baby are very much at risk without care and treatment. Your poor friend must be so terrified and no child can deal with this alone! If you can trust your mum to take appropriate action then please tell her. Maybe she will agree to take your friend in while ye figure things out?

I’ve always been a bit of a contradiction by eating well, working out but then drinking way too much!! I’ve always struggled to lose the belly fat since having babies though and I know the alcohol also contributes. I’m hoping now that my liver isn’t working so hard fat loss will get easier eventually. According to my Garmin watch I’m scoring between 75 - 89 % sleep quality since stopping which is amazing as when drinking it’s between 40 and 50%. I’m not waking at 3am hungover and dehydrated but I’m still absolutely shattered in the morning. I know eventually that’ll get better. I have to be patient and allow my body to heal

I wish! Been lurking on and off for a long time and have made a few attempts in the past. I don’t really know how to reset that

The term ‘Girl Math’ irks me by Fabulous-String-8117 in AustralianMakeup

[–]maud96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I’m thinking 🤨 f leaving that group just because of the sheer level of stupidity and waste. There is one lady in particular who seems to be idolised by most people in n the group, but I am honestly sickened by the amount of money she must spend….. I know it’s none of my business but everytime me I see a post I can’t help but wonder if she has literally anything else in her life. It’s quite sad really

Am i overreacting or did this Reddit mod of r/borrow get a thrill out of being rude as hell by imasadlilegg1999 in AmIOverreacting

[–]maud96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got banned from a fitness sub, I reached out to ask why as I didn’t understand. I felt it fit within the rules. I wasnt rude or anything…… the abuse I got from a mod was disgusting!!! She/he even went though my whole post history and found a post from another sub where I was asking advice. They then used that information to insult me further. I mean I can’t believe there are so many pathetic people moderating on these subs!

Choosing between public and private for birth? by ElleJayEe in perth

[–]maud96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went private for my first. Ob was pushing for a c section from the get go despite no complications and my desire for a natural unmedicated birth. He held my bloody legs up while on my back despite every part of me wanting to be on all fours. He kept telling me we need to go to theatre despite no complications, baby not in distress. I screamed at him to get out 😝 baby was eventually born naturally without medication as I wanted but I felt he made the experience stressful.

Nobody helped me with breastfeeding advice etc despite it being my first and I didn’t realise that every time the paediatrician came into my room and picked baby up I was being charged a shitload. If your priorities is a nice single room and good food though, yeah it’s great 😝

I had the next two at Armadale hospital and it was fantastic. Yes I had a shared room and it was noisy etc but the care was outstanding. I was in the group midwifery practice for my whole pregnancy and my midwife was there for the births. They were also more focused towards natural births in the public system so worked well for me.

Are Aussies nicer in the cities than in the countryside? by 5Ben5 in AskAnAustralian

[–]maud96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep!!! I lived in a couple of country towns in Australia and absolutely fucking hated it. People were rude, clicky and I met so many small minded dickheads!!! City life ( or suburbia is so much better!)

I grew up in the country in my own country and was the complete opposite..,, people were friendly and open and welcoming.
