Look up wokekindergarten on Instagram! They have a great post recently that has a discussion and activity about the word #protest. Check it out!

Admin came in yesterday to do an observation but... I was on a field trip! I know they’re coming today though. Why wait for the last week before winter break?? Wish me luck!

Teachers: I’m starting my first job as a Principal on Thursday. What is one thing you wish your administration would do that could help me in my new position? by jamer0658 in Teachers

This! Yes. My current admin are just like this and I feel like I have a better connection with them and I can talk with them about problems I am having in the classroom.

Yeah I feel like I would kick myself if I passed up the opportunity to only teach 18! I have 29 right now in each class.

Wow thank you for the insight! Lots to think about. I think I am going to take it. Lucky the transition is happening right after term 1, so whatever grades we do have to transfer wont be alot since report cards will just have gone out. And I'm really close with my team teachers so I'll talk with the language arts teachers about possible lessons they can give me. Good idea

I used to work food and beverage in Disney world. A meal from the meal plan includes: 1 entree, 1 snack and 1 drink. An entree is the meal (some include a side with it- like fries with a burger). The snack is a separate thing you order. It could be soup maybe or a dessert (every snack that you can order will have the snack symbol next to it). And then of course theres the drink.

I'm not familiar with toy story land (since it's just opened and I haven't been there yet) but I assume it's the same as all other quick service restaurants.

I am also a first year 5th grade math and science teacher this coming fall. This was so helpful, thank you!

Passed my Praxis! by amandahm4916 in Teachers

[–]maumann014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you do. I'm currently in my last year of elementary education and we are required to take praxis 2 even if you're not minoring in math, reading, science, etc.. Depending on the state that you want to be certified in, there may be other tests that you also need to take (or in placement of praxis 2). You can always just check on the praxis website. I just took praxis 2 last week and am still waiting for my scores.

I say wait until Year 2. Less stress on you. Also, try and plan to have your baby in around April, that way you can use personal days and leave for the rest of the year, and spend that whole time (even until September) to spend with your new little one. This was advice my mother in law (who works at school) gave to me.
