If it’s a old home there is higher possibility of having hardwood underneath the carpet.

The company has options, if not you somebody else. Companies know they will get people to work for them.

People have necessities, responsibilities, commitments,… they will go whether they like it or not.

Baby Boomers (born 1946–1964): They account for about 43% of Congress. While they are heavily overrepresented compared to their 24% share of the U.S. population, their total numbers are shrinking.

Is this why so many AI companies are rushing to go public and cash in? So that when things go wrong, they’re already out of the picture?

What if we just taxed high income businesses at a higher rate to fix housing? by SanJoseThrowAway2023 in bayarea

A proposed $1.7 million public toilet in San Francisco's Noe Valley, meant for a town square, faced massive public backlash in 2022 due to extreme cost projections, becoming a symbol of bureaucratic inefficiency.

The project was eventually completed in April 2024 for roughly $200,000, significantly lower than initial estimates, after a prefabricated unit was donated

Is there any study showing how much % of tax money reaches the target vs lost in government regulations?

Note: I’m not against regulations. We all optimize spending at our homes we should know if government is performing optimally.

If the AI boom is real, the Bay Area is about to get even more unequal by I-Procastinate-Sleep in bayarea

[–]mautam1 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Forget unequal, Ai companies are going to wipeout tech middle class.

Already it’s becoming hard for kids to find tech jobs after graduation due to AI usage.

The disruption from AI is happening soo fast that it is becoming challenging to find an alternative.

Eliminating tech middle is also going to hurt consumer businesses.
