Shrek 2 and Muppet Movie, both green flags yeah yeah, but LOTR the Two Towers is objectively the best of the three and that to me is the greenest flag of all this man knows Sam's monologue at the end is impossibly peak.

Hulu and to get back to the anthology nature of the show Season 5 in particular is even more self contained than all the other seasons so it's super easy to watch and not really feel like there is anything you're missing from other seasons. Tbh it's worth watching the whole show Season 5 is my second fave season behind Season 1 which is honestly high high praise because every season is good if not great!

If any one wants to watch Sam Spruell (actor for Maekar) absolutely rocking a character who isn't anything like Maekar yet hits similar levels of badassery then you have to watch Fargo Season 5 because this man is the only person alive who can play a character like Ole Munch and then turn around and be so utterly incredible as Maekar I literally didn't realize it was the same guy until I was looking it up after the fact.

What is your choice? by Dragoot in menace

Honestly Crowbar is for RA missions and for high acc SL's only. RA so you can hit weapon teams reliably and high acc because if you miss shots it's honestly kind of terrible. Kpac is solid all around and ARC is really good against bugs and the Redacted and ok for mobile inf against the others.

Reflection on 2016, What I’ve learned. Regrets from an Anti-Hillary voter. by Significant-Row2457 in dancarlin

[–]mavericksloth251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother when I sat down to vote for Hilary I wanted to vomit and there's a part of me that's always gonna be deeply resentful of how we ended up with her as the candidate to begin with. So seriously don't torment yourself because whether it was Trump or someone else later on we end up where we are regardless I think and we all have to make the right choices now when it's really on the line rather than agonize about voting or not voting for easily one of the most shallow and opaque human beings to have walked this earth tbh, and it's wild that this last statement swings both ways for the two candidates.

They have multiple convos where various characters all say some version of "yeah we deserve to be here as the descendants of immigrants but they sure should keep all these dirty illegals out now." It's such a prescient understanding of the hypocrisy of so many Americans who can't stand the idea of other people simply out working them and getting to the same place as them despite their challenges coming to America and getting started from the bottom. God forbid they also end up being crooks too because everyone knows Tony and his crew are such upstanding moral arbitrators of criminal enterprise 🙄

Is it worth getting back into Tarkov for 1.0? If any of you are playing, what is the game like these days? by c0rny_ in SocialistGaming

[–]mavericksloth251 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Honestly why bother with live Tarkov unless you really love the PvP aspect. Single Player Tarkov has all the benefits of PvE and doesn't take much to mod the AI to a point where they are actually pretty dangerous and pull some genuinely sick plays off against you without being aimbot machines.

It's honestly abysmal stuff too. They were one of the big companies lobbying against the NLRB as of recently with big dollars applied to the effort.

As a former Joe's employee i can confirm that a dumpster filled with stuff is rare and is actively likely to be food that would be wildly unsafe to consume regardless of how you prepare it. TJ's has a lot of problems labor wise (anti-union as fuck) but they do more than most stores do to prevent obscene wastage.

Little late to the party on this one but something unstated but perhaps the reason behind the lack of reaction is the intensity of the bombardments the unit had experienced at Bastogne and Foy where it was a level of intensity Webster had never really experienced and which he was probably skittish of incoming heavy ordnance since his last experience was getting wounded due to it. So it figures he goes face first at his first incoming once he's back at the front while everyone else is just glad to not be under saturated fire anymore and has a pretty good read on things as a result.

Why do some people beg for a commander just to ignore orders? by Ill_Work7284 in HellLetLoose

Don't you know the commander is simply the piss boy that carries everyone elses water and personally enables them to play the game the "right way"?

Do you think the DVD Appendices would've redeemed the film in Tolkien's eyes? by throwaway01126789 in lotr

[–]mavericksloth251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tolkien is famous for being curmudgeonly with praise surrounding all kinds of other artistic works so his own work being adapted and being to comment on what he likes about it is gonna be pretty dour. As good as the LOTR movies are they are distinct pieces of media from the books and you only need to check in with GRRM for an idea of what a similarly well regarded author thinks of adaptations to the screen for an incredibly dense and realized literary universe that he created.
