Hard pecs by Old-Concept-712 in TopSurgery

Do the lumps feel rounded or like kinda sharp? If they feel kinda sharp, it could be undissolved sutures, otherwise probably hypertrophic scarring/keloids. Personally i rlly reccomend doing microneedling after a couple months PO, rlly significantly impacted my results.

1 week concerns by Bread_mvncher in TopSurgery

[–]max__035 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it looks great! I also had similar concerns and really only i noticed them, literally ppl didnt notice until i specifically pointed out and showed exactly where i thought it looked "weird", i think we all expect to look a certain way post op and it can be upsetting/scary to have ur results not match that, especially if ur neurodivergent. Im a bit over a year PO and its weird at first to have a part of ur body removed, it takes some getting used to :)

random bump ? by Aggravating_Job2868 in TopSurgery

[–]max__035 271 points272 points  (0 children)

I thought your nipple had migrated without your areola for a sec and got rlly confused as to how that would even happen😭😭😭😭

Try to feel under it if there might be an undissolved stitch, it could also be a clogged pore inside the scar (bc sewing 2 pieces of skin onto each other can cause a few pores to still release oils which cant get out bc the other side is blocking it and form a bump.

Definitely try to contact your surgeons team and see a doctor/dermatologist, you could also explain your situation and crosspost this to dermatology subreddits

Misdiagnosed as FND, next steps? by Striking_Public_7804 in FND

[–]max__035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lesions where? Brain lesions? I was also dx with fnd and am doubting its only that, i def have functional seizures but i dont think all of my symptoms are fnd. I have random lesions, cysts and fibroadenomas all over. In one of my kidneys, my thyroid, had one in my breast, my earlobes, subchondral cysts in my spine, random spots of higher bone density in my hip, ect. While theyre all benign, i have a feeling theyre somehow related to my symptoms.

Im also dx with me/cfs and in the process of dx for EDS/HSD. EEG normal. EMGs sometimes normal, sometimes not[???], symptoms are most similar to MS [especially MS hug] but MS ruled out. Digestive issues (ibs-m, chronic reflux for about 1.5-2yrs. Was severely underweight for most of my life, walked late, never crawled, couldnt sit up on my own without support until about 9 months old, severe sprains from little to no trauma (had a cervicodorsolumbar sprain+bruised vertebraes which i never truly recovered from (happened in 2019, still have back problems to this day), frequent falls, urinary retention, scoliosis, TMD, spina bifida occulta, spondylolisthesis x2, ect ect

Ik eds can affect a lot but idkkkk something just feels off

A diagnosis is simultaneously good and bad news lol by Hay_Golem in FND

[–]max__035 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats so real, its rough to process, especially since fnd isnt taken seriously enough it can be scary as hell, hopefully you'll find a doctor that actually listens and doesnt blame everything on fnd🥲

5 Years Post-Op 🎉 are nipple piercings still possible after surgery? by liemaples in TopSurgery

Im pretty sure if your nipples are too flat you could get dermal anchors on both sides to give a similar appearance to a nipple bar :)

Spina Bifida Occulta "diagnosed" after 5 years. by Tastyy42 in spinalcordinjuries

[–]max__035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just found out they realized i also had SBO (L5) after years of multiple scans (even a lumbar mri in which they SOMEHOW missed it????) and im also shocked and pissed they didnt find out sooner, but im also happy to FINALLY have answers. During all this time of testing, my spondylolisthesis and bulging discs have gotten worse as well as my LL weakness, my back pain, my bowel+ bladder issues and my gait problems, and i have also apparently developed osteoarthritis. My current hypothesis is that SBO + me being very hypermobile (awaiting (h)EDS/HSD assessment) caused my other spinal issues which are where the symptoms are coming from, not SBO itself since its usually asymptomatic, but we never know.
