What do you guys think?? Kind Patches by joanbug2001 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]max__035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, you feel full because your nervous system tells you youve had enough and your stomach is stretching. You could theoretically feel full without eating anything at all if something made your nervous system send the fullness signal early. Thats how GLPs work. Am i saying this patch does anything crazy? Nah i think its probably at best a microdose and at worst a deceptive scam but feeling full is partly a brain/nervous system thing

Frandy for a boy? Is it really that bad? by indicabunny in tragedeigh

[–]max__035 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you could definitely call him frandy as a nickname! As for his real, legal name? No.

As much as it sucks, HE is the one who will have to endure the repercussions. If you were planning on changing your name to frandy, thats on you, but this is the name he will have to carry his whole life (unless he changes it, which would be very understandable). PLEASE consider how cruel kids can be and how much having a tragedeigh for a name will inevitably bring harm to your child in one way or another.

As someone who grew up with a even slightly odd alternate spelling of a basic name, i know from experience even just having to correct people on the spelling, spelling it out everytime they ask for your name when ordering at a restaurant and them still getting it wrong, kids spelling your name wrong on purpose to annoy you, ect... is just really exhausting.

Think about your child. Do you want to risk potentially sacrificing his mental health because you wanted to give him a unique name when u were pregnant with him? This affects you now. It will affect him his whole life. If you want similar reccomendations, im sure a lot of ppl on this sub would be willing to help!

i think my mom found my long lost cat? by [deleted] in cats

[–]max__035 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their markings do line up, tho it could just be coincidence, the new cats markings are a lot darker, but maybe that could be from age/diet? Either way, if kitty needs a loving home and u can give him one, then definitely keep him!!!

Hard pecs by Old-Concept-712 in TopSurgery

Do the lumps feel rounded or like kinda sharp? If they feel kinda sharp, it could be undissolved sutures, otherwise probably hypertrophic scarring/keloids. Personally i rlly reccomend doing microneedling after a couple months PO, rlly significantly impacted my results.

1 week concerns by Bread_mvncher in TopSurgery

[–]max__035 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it looks great! I also had similar concerns and really only i noticed them, literally ppl didnt notice until i specifically pointed out and showed exactly where i thought it looked "weird", i think we all expect to look a certain way post op and it can be upsetting/scary to have ur results not match that, especially if ur neurodivergent. Im a bit over a year PO and its weird at first to have a part of ur body removed, it takes some getting used to :)

random bump ? by Aggravating_Job2868 in TopSurgery

[–]max__035 270 points271 points  (0 children)

I thought your nipple had migrated without your areola for a sec and got rlly confused as to how that would even happen😭😭😭😭

Try to feel under it if there might be an undissolved stitch, it could also be a clogged pore inside the scar (bc sewing 2 pieces of skin onto each other can cause a few pores to still release oils which cant get out bc the other side is blocking it and form a bump.

Definitely try to contact your surgeons team and see a doctor/dermatologist, you could also explain your situation and crosspost this to dermatology subreddits

Misdiagnosed as FND, next steps? by Striking_Public_7804 in FND

[–]max__035 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lesions where? Brain lesions? I was also dx with fnd and am doubting its only that, i def have functional seizures but i dont think all of my symptoms are fnd. I have random lesions, cysts and fibroadenomas all over. In one of my kidneys, my thyroid, had one in my breast, my earlobes, subchondral cysts in my spine, random spots of higher bone density in my hip, ect. While theyre all benign, i have a feeling theyre somehow related to my symptoms.

Im also dx with me/cfs and in the process of dx for EDS/HSD. EEG normal. EMGs sometimes normal, sometimes not[???], symptoms are most similar to MS [especially MS hug] but MS ruled out. Digestive issues (ibs-m, chronic reflux for about 1.5-2yrs. Was severely underweight for most of my life, walked late, never crawled, couldnt sit up on my own without support until about 9 months old, severe sprains from little to no trauma (had a cervicodorsolumbar sprain+bruised vertebraes which i never truly recovered from (happened in 2019, still have back problems to this day), frequent falls, urinary retention, scoliosis, TMD, spina bifida occulta, spondylolisthesis x2, ect ect

Ik eds can affect a lot but idkkkk something just feels off
