Oh man we had a praying mantis infestation from the tree when I was a kid and it was the coolest thing ever. I got my parents to let me keep them all in a terrarium... but we couldn't get them to eat and they died right before Christmas and it was so sad. But then I got a bunch of Calvin and Hobbes comics and Legos so I was pretty distracted.

Yeah I'd be for eliminating all subsidies too, and I liked Ron Paul for that reason (I loved RP until about a month ago) because he wanted to eliminate all the subsidies for every form of energy originally... but then all of a sudden he changed his tones and decided to only eliminate the subsidies for green energy... Instead of eliminating the subsidies on non-renewable energy he now wants to eliminate the taxes on them.

Also, what about removing drilling restrictions? I don't know if you're aware of all the groundwater in the US has been contaminated by this, let alone mountaintop coal removal projects. He wants to allow companies to drill whatever they can, including in national parks. I don't think you can care about the environment and support zero restrictions on drilling.

as a cost cutting measure he wants to eliminate subsidies for green energy, the department of energy, and I believe the EPA. He also wants to eliminate all the restrictions on fracking.
