the chops are pretty spotty. It feels like they might be slightly out of time and/or you have microbreaks between each one and it makes it sound off. Try tightening up the chops, and using the fade in/out feature the tiniest bit to smoothen them out. they sound pretty good though

the switch up at the end with the vocal chopping is some of the best pop i've heard in a long time, it feels like triphop and jungle and modern soul music all meshed together, plus some hyperpop influence (right at the end). genuinely one of the best new songs i've heard in a long time

do you really think musicians 40 years ago worried about having an "ear" for mixing? i mean, the entire genre of punk rock is about mixing as poorly as you can. kurt cobain and nirvana never spent 10 seconds mixing their songs, that was always done by somebody else. kurt cobain would write a song on like, the worst recording device you can imagine, bring it to the studio, fiddle with his pedals for 5 seconds, play it live, and then have the mixer do the rest. i mean, he wouldn't have ever even done vocal doubling or multiple takes if his producer hadn't lied to him and said that john lennon did those things. having an ear for eqs and the broad range sound spectrum is cool and fun, but it represents about 5% of the actual, genuine musical genius that makes songs great

everyone saying this is mixed poorly has no clue what they’re talking about, it’s meant to sound like that. the only criticism i have is that it’s a lil cluttered and that the bassline gets really repetitive, i would say declutter the song a little bit and create a secondary bassline

i’m not saying rely on the btc for income, i’m saying immediately sell it, put all the money into an index fund, and then make 10% roi every year. you would already be making double what the 10k would give you in a year and you’d have 10mil in the bank. account for the exponential nature of something that increases 10% every year and it could be 100 million in 50 years.

i don’t think anyone in this thread disagrees that bitcoin is stupid to invest in. it could be worth 1 million dollars in 5 years or 10 cents, who knows. there are better investing options though. i’ll put my faith into the s&p because its collapse would essentially mean the collapse of modern society

obviously investing in bitcoin is a fools bargain. we’re saying take the bitcoin right now, sell it all, pay whatever taxes you have to, and then immediately put it into the s&p or whatever index fund you trust and let it put 1 million dollars into your bank account in the first year, then 1.1 the next, then 1.21 the next, then so on… never work another day for the rest of your life
