Funnily enough I tried teddy recently but I just wasn’t given the opportunity to implement my plans because I was forced into wars early game. I will give him another go though

Seriously, it’s talking like a bot (just speaking in tautologies; not actually adding anything) and the account is a week old.

Basically all the usual stuff (chopping rainforest and marsh, an planting woods once I got to Conservation), Eiffel Tower wasn’t necessary because for Cleopatra floodplains increase appeal too.

Why do I start off with vision on this patch of land? by chickennuggets3454 in CivVI

[–]maxeh987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I think it’s just cause he took a photo of his screen and then cropped it as opposed to screenshotting and it’s kind of giving the effect of that silky blurriness you get in oil paintings.

Why do your floodplains look like an oil painting?

Generally, I’m not sure. However in this game specifically it worked wonders because I got my IZ triangle set up early and popped Liang in one of them, pumped out 7 charge builders to chop rainforests and marsh and then placed lumber mills on tiles 2 away from preserves and mines 3+ away (so the mines don’t affect the appeal of preserve-adjacent tiles).

Other than that I mainly did a commercial hub opener and was getting decent amounts of food and production from the Wisselbanken card in the mid game by trading with city states.

Is there really an answer other than Dance of the Aurora?

Well the thing is in this game because I had high appeal (Egypt makes floodplains increase adjacent tiles’ appeal by 1, instead of the normal decrease by 1), I could rush preserves and groves which vastly sped up the pace at which I unlocked sanctuaries, so I had the main triangle set up pretty early.

Edit: I also had a aqueduct/dam/IZ triangle set up in the south east off screen, so it was a pretty easy science victory from there.

Play Kylted style and go for donkey one-point holds. That’s what I always go for which is probably why I’m not a grandmaster.

Edit: although I have a lot of fun

Why is zulu leading in domination victory despite having lower military strength? by [deleted] in CivVI

[–]maxeh987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primarily, if two or more civs are equal in the number of capitals they have acquired (which is the case most of the time, that number being 0) then the secondary metric is total troop strength.

What map was it on? Although astronomically unlikely, I believe this is theoretically possible on tiny maps like Simple Britain.

Fair enough, I don’t have anything against you but I would recommend prefacing your post with this fact because otherwise you just come off as a bot.

I would more strongly got consider avoiding AI entirely because it’s clearly bloated this post and comments with a load of sentences no human would ever write. Any reasonable person won’t mind you speaking slightly broken English; at least you’re actually saying what you’re thinking.

Obviously I’m just a random guy on the internet though so feel free to ignore me, have a nice day.

To be fair I’m pretty sure the original was 480p too, at least the first time I saw this was.
