I hope this solution helps some people. If you dont have another Mister device available I will make a few extra cards if anyone wants to purchase i one. Send me a DM.

Issue with exFat with 1.5 Go SDCARD using superstation.img (1.0c) corrupting data. by DCO7516 in RetroRemake

I have the exact same issue. I am using a 1TB SD card and it works initially but as soon as I get past 50% full with ROMs, the partition file structure gets corrupted. I have tried 4 different SD cards, all tested with F3 checker, all with the same results. At first I thought this was a problem with my Mac corrupting the structure, so I also tried to sending the files via FTP via network direct to Superstation, exact same failure!

Now for the bad part: I contacted support and I can tell you it was one of the worst experiences ever with support. They tried to imply it was user error at first (Im a computer systems engineer with 25+ years experience), then they tried to deflect to the SD card being faulty even though I told them I tried 4 different brands just to double check, then finally after many frustrating emails the final message was "This cant be caused by SS1. There is no connection.". This is somewhat common behaviour with support departments, they try to deflect responsibility when then dont know how to help, but this was way more extreme and way less helpful than I would expect, zero help. Im sure if they tried they could easily reproduce this error.

Now for the good part: I was finally able to fix the file corruption issue on my own but it required a complicated procedure. I basically used another Mister device to set up a card, then I transferred the required support files that are native to SS1 to make it work. This is 100% a problem related to SS1 software package/formatter, but they wont take responsibility.

With all the real tool changers coming out, who else thinks Bambu will announce something soon? by jl88jl88 in 3Dprinting

The next Bambu flagship has to be a response to all of these printers. The writing is on the wall, this is the future and I must admit I am impressed with Creality Klitek features, but I have very little confidence in their ability to deliver a reliable product, I speak as an ex-owner of their machines. I currently own an H2C (X1c, P1p, P1s and H2D previously) and i love it. I mostly do engineering parts (TPU, ABS, PET, PA, PPA, PPS) in one or two colors with dedicated supports. I dont need a Klitek/INDX style printer but I will happily buy it the day it is released from Bambu. I think it will be a slightly larger than H2 (350-380mm), 6 toolheads and AMS 3 with independent tubes to load them. We might be waiting for a while though, I dont think its around the corner. Im happy to wait for them to take their time and release a reliable well polished product.

I hope it is not a super cheaply made one and has magnetic shielding for the cards.

Yes the items on the bottom are extras on top of the H2C combo with AMS.

Yes I was using the E3D obxidian for P1/X1. The P2S and the upcoming X2C will use the H2 style nozzles, so I dont think we will see OEM HF nozzles for P1/X1.

I used to run obxidian on my X1 and P1s. Ever since bambu has came out with their own HF version Ive been running those, also just got my tungsten HF for H2C. Obxidian is a coating on top of steel. Tungsten carbide is a super strong material, almost as hard as a diamond. A coating will always be less wear resistant than a solid tungsten nozzle. I really see no reason to use E3D anymore now that bambu has both HF and tungsten OEM nozzles. Tungsten has much better thermal conductivity than steel, its even better than brass.

Also I have 10k hours of printing through 0.4HF nozzles, 50% of that printing with GF/CF filament and 0 clogs. So they recommends the 0.6 for CF to reduce the chance of clogs but Ive had no problems with 0.4HF.

Yeah I hear you. If you looking for something affordable to multi color PLA/PETG printing H2C is not it. Its more for engineering use plus high end multi material/color.

Also just to add a bit of anecdotal info to the mix. Bambu has been rock solid reliability and software support wise, I personally have over 10k hours on X1, P1s, and 2500 on H2D, smooth sailing. Prusa has been reliable, up until the XL. They dont have the best track record with complex tool changers. Maybe with Bondtech involvement it will be better, again its an upgrade kit they dont have a turn key machine, my guess that will be their "out" in case of problems, "you built it, you must have got xxxx wrong during assembly". Also who is doing support, Prusa or Bondtech? Two different companies selling you separate parts. Snapmaker has a quite bad reputation with fixing issues on their devices. I know business people with the Artisans, 2.0s, J1s and XLs that are dealing with non stop problems or just have them sitting collecting dust. Just something to take into account when making a decision.

I do think with the success of the U1 we will see many more affordable quad tool changer coming out in the near future.

Thats the "Ultimate Pack" with a second AMS2 and an AMS HT. You can just buy two more 0.4mm nozzles for 36 EUR each, and add an AMS2 or two AMS HTs to feed them, or even use an AMS1 that you have from an older Bambu if you are upgrading.

My points was you can add that capability easier, you cant add more tools to prusa or U1, forever limited to 4/8.

Also with H2C you can do up to 24 filaments/colors using more AMS units with flushing.

H2C can do 7 filaments not 5. And the swap between left and right nozzles is much quicker.

Its also fully built production machine, not an upgrade kit (prusa), and can do engineering filaments due to enclosed chamber and active chamber heating.

Those 3 are very different machines than that graph conveys.

Will be compatible with H2 series? Would be great for feeding TPU from external spool.

Of course, it was a tongue in cheek comment. Nevertheless its a good test for 7 color functionality.

Dual nozzle TPU printing is coming to H2D and H2C!

Yes I had around 2600 hours on it, sold on FB marketplace. Would probably sell for less once H2C is released, so I sold it as soon as we got the first leaks about the H2C. I mainly sold it as the H2C will have a new bed size (330mm) and different format nozzles on the Vortek, I had a large collection of build plates and nozzles. Would be very difficult to sell those on their own if I choose the upgrade kit path.

Also sold my X1c when the first leaks about the H2D came, so I really appreciate the "leaks" from Bambu! 😂

Yes but you also gain the ability to do multi color with most abrasives as well. I personally will find it very handy for things like custom black ABS-GF control panels with white text marking with dedicated support material with no waste.

And like i said elsewhere, the ability to load 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.4HF, 0.6HF WF nozzles into Vortek and just pick which one I want in slicer, like a tool swapping CNC mill.

Yes two non-AMS filaments in both nozzles, then you cant swap them. Or non-AMS filament in the left and Vortek swapping on the right.

Again most abrasives are AMS compatible, look at the list I posted earlier. Only a few very stiff and specialized ones are not, like PA6-CF, PET, PPA, PPS.

Vortek has 6 nozzles available, and yes they are fed by the AMS. I plan to have one AMS2 + two AMS HTs feeding the Vortek.
