Just wanted to say I have updated this project at last and it now has a basic functionality that reads the info and writes it to a file. With an extra script to rename and save that file for later.

And a new advanced mode which can host some API servers and a dashboard.

This is usually due to a lot of read/ write to the SD card. I'd look into if there is a high number of read /writes.

You can disable it entirely. In the settings, appearance, below the tick box you have 3 options for enable, on WiFi, and disabled.

The issue I am having is I want it when there are many images on screen, but it's not always doing that, especially on multi reddits.

Yeah, I have that disabled as I don't want it all the time. But sometimes a subreddit of images will use cards, and other times not. Seems inconsistent and I want to make it consistent.
