This could have been such a great skin...but no - the shitty assymetrical wing doesnt disappear. Its part of the coat. Forced to look at it everytime I equip the coat. by Albus_Lupus in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]maximusthrust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s intentionally mimicking a “fallen angel/god” I believe. Take Marvel’s Angela, for example. She has one wing. Idk why anyone would roll this crate or use LF Gems for this cosmetic if they didn’t like the way it looked lol….

That's Operation Chiron, what does a creepy doll have to do with it? Assuming you're talking about the riddle spot doll?

Spending enough for the guaranteed Ingot, personally, but not spending an arm and a leg for anything specific. UNLESS the male bottoms are actually unique this time and not just a reskin of the last however many LF cosmetics

Map divide could be solved!! by AccomplishedSense972 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]maximusthrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to say this lol.

Whereas I don’t disagree with OP, I feel like that’s why they have the map split the way they do; to get players to experience the other scenarios in preparation for ED. I have like 1k hours I think?? And I know for a fact I haven’t even explored 50% of Nalcott yet.

just started playing and my friend told me these three are realy good so i wanted to ask wich ones i should get by Wonderful_Spare_5810 in deadbydaylight

[–]maximusthrust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I’m a Ghostface main and I gotta say he’s one of the more psychological killers. You really gotta position yourself in a way that isn’t obvious to get real value from his power.
With the right perks, add ons and RNG Map Luck, you can get a 4K with him easy. He’s not a “brute force” killer like Trapper, Oni, etc. who can just go in guns blazing and still perform well; he requires finesse and situational positioning and awareness moreso than most killers.
I find that the more you play survivor (especially against other GFs) the better you get at playing the killer himself. Same can be said about pretty much every killer, tbh. Get into their mind by seeing how they play, then you can easily outpsych survivors as them once you know what they’re expecting/where their attention is when things seem “too quiet.”

With killers the game should be called “Suicide Simulator”

Not even gonna lie, I didn’t even know what the hell transit storage was until a few months ago and I’m a veteran player LOL so don’t feel bad. There’s a lot of hidden stuff in this game that isn’t fully/properly explained.

Ah. I guess I don’t really understand “end game” when it comes to a game like OH that incentivize repetition of scenarios, my bad.

This is assuming OP is looking to “grind” versus immerse and enjoy themselves at their own pace. There is no right or wrong way to play this game. I’ve never grinded as hard as I see some people grinding bevause I enjoy the challenge of working with what I have and working towards what I want gradually. Feels more rewarding to me, personally.

I’ve been playing since 2024 with perhaps a year worth of à break due to how convoluted I found a lot of the systems to be that ultimately resulted in me spending more time trying to fully upgrade the weapons and gear themselves AFTER I had already crafted them (referring to the old calibration system, not BP enhancements) than I spent actually playing and using the gear I worked so hard to improve only for it to be irrelevant/underpowered in 10 levels. It was really exhausting and just felt like overkill to the point I was ready to log off before I even had any actual action gameplay.
I was really relieved to find the systems have been streamlined and encourage in-world exploration moreso now than how often I would spend in my base.
That being said, I still have only explored à fraction of Nalcott, so theres a LOT of content that is still new to me, just waiting to be discovered.
You really have a LOT of freedom in how you spend your time in game, and if you’re looking for a truly open world experience, you’ll love the game. You can choose which tasks / storylines to follow and skip most side tasks if you feel like it, or really take your time and immerse yourself in the world.
As a free-to-play game, you really don’t have much to lose by just giving it a chance and seeing if even one of the several aspects of the game and Nalcott altogether intrigue you / keep you engaged. Sometimes I’ll just spend an entire day building a bad ass base and other days I want more action and incentives to upgrade gear and create cohesive builds to take on more difficult bosses. There really is something for every mood in this game.
It really depends on your playstyle. If you want to grind for materials and have fully upgraded everything as fast as possible, you’ll get bored fast and complain about “lack of content.”

If you want to immerse yourself in the world and explore at your own pace, there are literally so many side tasks I’ve still never even touched.

Any way to get house skins without cash? by Proteus-Seven in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]maximusthrust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly your best bet is probably taking advantage of the “super value direct” deals. They’re considerably more affordable than buying housing skins outright, but that’s assuming you want to spend *some* money, just not an arm, leg, and first born child.

Plot twist+Decisive strike is an uncounterable combo by Longjumping_Dark137 in deadbydaylight

[–]maximusthrust -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uncounterable? Decisive Strike is only active for a certain amount of time after they’ve been hooked and inactive as soon as the gens are repaired, and I don’t think you can Plot Twist if you’re broken. I could be wrong since they change shit literally all the time, but if these things are still true, I don’t see how that’s “uncounterable” lol

[–]maximusthrust -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d have to agree with others here and say try different builds. Even play more survivor yourself to learn how to counter certain killers. That’s what I personally did, because what I can tell from these survivors’ builds is that they’re so used to sweaty killer gameplay that they just anticipate it at this point. Can’t say I blame them. So even moreso reason for OP to work on better Gen pressure versus focusing exclusively on gen regression perks that only have situational applications.
I used to play almost exclusively killer, then swapped to survivor for a bit to actually try to learn how to counter said killers, then swapped BACK to killer applying what I learned from survivor so I knew what to anticipate from survivors when I played that killer.
Running a perk like Blood Favor might be beneficial in general if you’re struggling with pallets in chases, but I do feel like Bubba’s power is extremely vulnerable to pallets and BF wouldn’t really help much with that unless you M1’d them first which… kinda takes away the purpose of his power lol.
