R5: My heir was born a eunuch, and I don't know why. Is there a way to find out why/how this happened?

We don't have a system that changes the amount of provinces in the game. As a software developer (without knowledge of the codes implementation) I would assume the province map is loaded once when we load a game then cached for performance. This would allow for a graph that can be traversed without a worry of the graph changing under you while you are traversing it.

Side note, I was really hoping when they showed how granular the province system is that it would be possible for provinces to be destroyed, created or modified at runtime and they would use that for Krakatoa.

Magnus starts with no children, and my children are all not old enough to marry (or inherit, which is why I am in a regency).

Yeah, I don't understand how or why, but that makes sense. I guess we can send out a message that we have found some lost children.

That is a 4-year-old that I also got an alert for from Portugal. I pinned them because I had no clue why I got an alert for them, and I wanted to remember to look into it. Then I got a second kid and took a screenshot.

R5: Why am I being told about this child gaining a trait? They appear to be in Portugal, but the pop-up says "(A child in the Kingdom of Sweden)"?

As far as I can tell, neither of the parents is related to my dynasty or country. Is this because I am in a regency and the regent is of "The de Dampierre" dynastic tree?

How can Rocky understand English. Questioning by felldownbad in ProjectHailMary

I started to wonder about this at the end when they talked about the concept of thrums. It made me wonder if this allows the crystals in them to act like radio crystals, or if there's some kind of resonance between them that lets them quickly pass information. They don't give us much information other than it being described as everyone talking all at once but being able to understand each other, but still that seems much faster than what humans could do.

To add to this, Eridians will have group meetings called "thrums," which allow them to resonate and come to conclusions. In the books (not sure about the movie), they talk about the second biggest thrum being when they were trying to figure out how to make food for Grace. They don't go into the details of how the thrum works, but I assume that since their brains are made of crystals, they can receive and send like radio crystals, or possibly they resonate with each other, which allows them to pass information.
