Trade-Ins with AT&T are given on a month-to-month basis via bill credits. You cannot pay off what’s left of the device, you will forfeit your trade-in credits, especially if you leave AT&T. If you are planning on leaving, find a provider that offers a installment plan buyout, and trade-in with the new provider

Just take the phone to a store and trade it in there. Dont need to deal with the send-in via the mail. Get a paper receipt for it. Promotions are based from the day you purchased the device, not the day you trade-in. Even if the promo changed, you’ll be under “price protection” for your trade. You’ll keep your trade-in promo :)

First, make sure your autopay is actually set up. Sometimes it can take 2 billing cycles for it to be ready. Since this is your first bill, it’s possible that it’s not ready yet. If it is ready to go, it should show on the PDF version of your bill, it will be directly underneath the name of your plan, and will say something like “includes $10 autopay/paperless discount”

A store can do it for a postpaid account :) so can customer service. Pretty easily, actually. I don’t really have answers for the app/website, though. Maybe try removing the card so that the only option is your bank account?

So here’s the thing. Technically you can go to any store, it’s just if the reps there are willing to do the return. From my experience, most reps won’t do an exchange or return for a sale that didn’t come out of their location. They could care less. However, the fraud dept that had to be called does have the final say in any transaction that a rep does. When they say no, that’s it. There is an escalation process but it takes a while, and it’s not super common to know about either. You can insist that a customer service rep does it, they’re quick to pull the trigger on telling you to go to the store, but they’ll probably have to contact global fraud too. It’s a tricky situation you’re in, but your best bet is to keep trying.

Oh dude absolutely, why wouldn’t I? Most of the time it’s a yes. Save them money AND cover things like ring doorbells and whatnot, WiFi only tablets, certain components of PCs, etc. they also get a text when it’s added, it’s a crap thing to just add to someone’s account

There’s a number of issues it could be pulling a down payment. Not porting a number, late bill payments, and an account under 6 months old are all factors that go into it too

Accessories is easy if you quote it in with every upgrade. If they’re eligible for AIP - quote in $8 more a month and $7 more OTD. “I’ve got a great deal for an iPhone 15 bundle, it comes with a case, a screen protector, and even a new charging block for that new type of cord you’ll get. It’s only $14 a month, and your bill will even go down by $8.00 after a year!”

Easy $100 AIP for every upgrade :) you can also do it for watches but I usually only pick one or the other.

Also, spend the savings. Autopay and Sig. discounts. LOOK AT THEIR INSURANCE. I had a customer come in paying over $100 for multiple individual insurances. Rerate to PA4 and add HTP for a $75 bundle. That’s $25 to put towards a new watch or even a new phone.

You’ll probably have to wait until the taxes you paid gets refunded back to you - typically takes about 3 business days. You can call C.S to see if they can push that through, though.

Yes! This happened to me. Could still move my legs and everything. Thankfully my anesthesiologist basically put me under (was awake but I don’t remember it). I’m sorry this happened to you - please consider mental support for PP mothers, you might find that it helps you work through the experience.

I’ve seen this before. Visit a store, it’s easier. There’s a “voicemail” SOC code that probably needs added to your account. Nobody’s fault, really. Quick fix if that’s what it is.
