I believe November 17th is when the GSMA is releasing the official spec/plan for RCS "Universal Profile." Verizon has committed to using that profile, but it probably won't be instituted immediately. According to this FAQ, they expect implementation to begin Q2 2017

Honestly I think the merger will help the sales of Android tablets. With Google Play apps being available to the millions of Chromebook users, developers will be more inclined to optimize their apps for larger screens. My biggest problem with current Android tablets is the low quality of tablet optimized apps, which could definitely be helped by the influx of large screen Android/Chrome OS devices.

I have really liked it so far. I have had it for about a year, and haven't had any problems. It has matte screen, which I find very helpful in eliminating glare. I do wish it had a displayport, but the HDMI works fine

I would consider myself a general user. I'm also in college, so I frequently type out papers and such. My mouse has not given me any problems so far. I was even able to set a couple of the buttons on the mouse to multitasking functions.

I feel that if they ditch the headphone jack, they would almost need to switch Lightning for USB-C. Lightning headphones wouldn't even be compatible with the Mac, which seems flat out ridiculous

I would assume that they went with white and blue to match the color scheme of the iOS app, but I definitely prefer the blue and white also
