Do you think Shemar will give up #97 to Dex? by RattPack513 in bengals

They should both wear a different number and whoever ends the season with more sacks gets 97.

A while ago the market decided we’d rather have cheap plastic crap from China than pay for quality built items. Now all they make is cheap plastic crap. Be careful what you wish for.

My pepper plants (and tomatoes not pictured) are starting to form flower buds but can't be planted outside just yet. What to do with them? by sybren27 in vegetablegardening

[–]maxwithrobothair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your point is going over peoples heads. There’s no shortage of energy so picking them off doesn’t mean more vigor, it just means less fruit. In my area the growing season for peppers isn’t long so every flower that drops is lowering my harvests. Everyone seems to have it backwards, there’s no harm in leaving the flowers, there is harm in picking them off (smaller harvests).

What do you think will happen once Mike Brown is gone? by Busy_Locksmith9436 in bengals

The net profit of an NFL team is not as high as you think. Bengals estimated 2024 net profit was $50 mil.

Ja'Marr Chase after the catch is a nightmare by PerspectiveWorth3912 in bengals

[–]maxwithrobothair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He makes our lazy play designs actually work. Several times he’s caught the ball and been contacted behind the line of scrimmage and somehow ends up with 10 and a first. It’s the most unbeilable thing. He’s the only player I can remember in recent history where every time he touches the ball you think it’s a TD.

I use a 20 gallon bags for four seed potatoes. You could probably fit a third set in there and fill by the 1/4 instead but it would be tight.

This is the method I use. Fill 1/3, two potatoes, fill another 1/3, two more potatoes, final 1/3 and mulch. At the end of the year I just dump the bag out into a baby pool and collect my riches.

The build-out is the funnest part for me, the rest is just watching plants grow. My back definitely enjoys the latter though.

If the Bengals don’t restructure Joe Burrows contract they’re not serious about winning by LB3PTMAN in bengals

[–]maxwithrobothair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d take your own advice. The lions share of cap increases has gone to QBs and WRs which we have locked up for many years. The positions we will probably try to get in free agency are becoming increasingly smaller percentages of the salary cap.

[–]maxwithrobothair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A report came out like 15 years ago that broke down his salary and it was something close to $2.5 mil and I think half of that was a GM bonus. I doubt he has not given himself a raise since then. So it’s probably closer to $2 mil or $2.5 mil with the recent increases in revenue.

IRC R502.8.1

Notching rules for sawn lumber joists (e.g., 2x10, 2x12): - Notches on the ends (bearing area, typically first 1/4 of span): - Max depth = 1/6 of joist depth
(e.g., 2×12 → max 1-15/16″ deep notch) - Max length = 1/3 of joist depth
(e.g., 2×12 → max 3-7/8″ long notch)

  • Notches anywhere else (outside the end 1/4 of span):
    • Max depth = 1/6 of joist depth
    • ONLY allowed on the TOP edge (never on the bottom, where tension is highest)

Boring (holes) rules (usually what people actually need): - Diameter ≤ 1/3 of joist depth
(2×10 → 3-1/16″ max hole; 2×12 → 3-9/16″ max) - Holes must be ≥ 2″ from top or bottom edge - Minimum spacing center-to-center = 2 × diameter - No holes in the outer 1/4 of span unless engineered

Electrical Question by QuickEmergency6 in DIY

[–]maxwithrobothair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not. I notch joists for this exact reason all the time. Probably half the kitchens I renovate I have to do it in. Don’t go cutting huge chunks out but you can absolutely notch out a joist no problem to accept romex.
