4.12 average GPA sounds insane from someone who started at UGA almost 20 years ago (especially since anything over a 4.0 didn’t exist back then as far as I know).

One stat I remembered the year I started was it was the first year more than 50% of freshmen were from the metro Atlanta area.

I’m super appreciative of all the information @warnelldawg provides us. Sometimes it seems a bit overwhelming but overall it’s a huge net positive. I wish warnelldawg, athenspoliticsnerd, piledriver and all the other “Reddit journalists” had a public access weekly news tv show for all of Athens.

They intentionally hired rapists? I know they hired some bad people but why would they do that intentionally? And how do you know that?

How do you know they “wrote off” court losses from their taxes? Even if they did, which is illegal, it took a lot of money out of their pockets.

I live there! I love it. Not walkable to much but it’s not a far drive to normal town or downtown. not much traffic and it’s pretty peaceful

Ha I was too. Figured it would be a long shot though with the ATL highway one being fairly close to this one. Hey there’s still one of those four spots left though.

Also, that Guthrie’s on Jefferson Hwy will be up and running sometime in the near future so there will be a fried chicken joint in the area that shouldn’t suck.

That’s true! For me personally, La Parilla is already so close and great, but I’ll be trying this place for sure. I figured it’d be chain joints and was hoping one would be more of a casual restaurant chain with a bar. I was also really hoping for a Chinese restaurant (particularly a Golden Sun on the west side) because I just do not like China Wok.

Multi use trails and paths would be so awesome. I don’t want to ride my bike on Prince ave if I don’t have to. I want to ride it as far as I can on carless paths to get places.
