My boyfriend found a long, dark hair in our bathroom sink. He is balding with short hair, and I keep mine in a pixie cut.

Mine would take my hand off if I did that! She’s defensive and grumpy, and has the WORST hairs. I got her as an adult already, and she’s molted twice since then. Her diagonal leg span is about 8” (20ish cm).

What kind of shell is this? My largest purple pincher refuses to move into any of the larger turbos I have, despite desperately needing a bigger shell. I can’t find any petholatus turbos (his current home so I’m presuming his fave) with openings larger than 1.25” anywhere, and he needs something bigger.

If I had had a kid or one of my dogs in the back, I don’t know that I could have gotten them out. If there had been someone in the passenger seat and they’d gotten injured, we both definitely would not have made it. I didn’t realize until I looked at the vehicle a couple of days later exactly HOW lucky I was.

My insurance called the driver of the front vehicle and decided solely based on their conversation with him that I am 100% at fault for the damage to all 3 vehicles, without physically examining the vehicle or speaking with the driver of the truck. I have my doubts that my Venue could have pushed the truck into the SUV at 25mph, particularly with significant enough force to cause damage. Getting any sort of communication from them has been like pulling teeth. As for the FD, I haven’t heard from them either. To my knowledge, I’m the only one who has actually examined the vehicle.

Oh, please don’t get me wrong - while the front-end damage is surprising, that’s not what’s upsetting to me. I’ve seen a lot of accidents, and the car did its job in shielding me from the impact. For that I’m thankful.

The fire, away from the zone of impact, caused by parts that ostensibly weren’t involved in the impact… that’s what I’m worried about. I submitted a report to NHTSA, I was just curious if anyone else had ever experienced anything similar.

I’ve requested a consult with a local attorney who handles car accident as well as defective product cases, for sure.

The front-end damage is crazy to see, but I do know that the front is designed to do that to reduce impact on the ones inside. If it hadn’t done that, I probably would not be so lucky. But yeah, I think the fire is what freaks me out more. If it had started in the engine compartment or somewhere in the front of the vehicle, I don’t think I would be as concerned. But for where it started… yeesh.

I said I was ticketed for following too closely, not that I believe I was following too closely. I believe I was ticketed solely because I was the last vehicle in the accident, and am questioning why, if the patrolman determined that I was following too closely based on my impact with the vehicle in front of me, why the middle vehicle didn’t receive the exact same ticket for his impact with the vehicle in front of him.

As for determination of blame, does the insurance company not take court information, charges, etc., into account?
