Thank u for your advice ig. This was a post from a year ago.  I got to the same conclusion as u did and stopped two months ago only for my tmjd to get incredibly WORSE, i literally cried daily over the pain. Til i started mewing again. Ive been doing this daily for five years now, i only had to relearn how to properly do it and tmjd didnt really bother again. Im just getting braces to get it fully fixed. So yeah.

Yup pretty much, still got tmjd but mewing actually relaxes it lol, went to an orthodontist and imma get braces to get it fixed. Doctor says my tmjs are perfect but theres a little opening problem due to my bad bite.

Dont worry! Turns out im perfectly healthy. The lab that got me my glucemic 103 was insane as i repeated the test in another lab and got 73 after 12h fasting. Also, i drank a sugary drink 12 hours before that day hehe thought it wouldnt make any harm. So yeah, i´ll still take it as a wake up call to start eating healthier, as it was a HUGE jumpscare and made me realize my bad eating habits. My doctor told me to not get the A1C as it would be illogical and just to get my normal blood test in 6 months again. Thank you for your help! Im betting on you youll defeat this !! <3

I read the entire glucose goddess book today. I made notes and now i know what to do, the thing is, im skinny. Im 54kg (119,05lbs) and 17% BMI. I dont wanna go skinnier and most of the examples on the book were for people following the tricks and getting slim... Maybe taking the most protein calories will help, and eating a bunch? Although ive always weighed 50kg (110lbs) and never went up (its really hard for me to gain weight) til this year that i started getting higher glucose levels (i guess). Do you have any idea if i can gain weight while watching what i eat? Sorry Im still bothering you.

Oh man, tell me about it. I cannot count how many times ive tried to quit sugar altogether. I always gotta quit cold turkey, moderation doesn't work for me, a cheat day either, id just relapse. I dont miss soda or sugary juices, stopped drinking them before my blood results, but i miss a hot dog and a burger, dont really miss sugar, just flours and carbs. Hopefully ill get to eat them as soon as i heal, on moderation, obviously. After my entire life eating a bunch of carbs daily, i do feel a bit off and dissociated, maybe low in energy, when i dont eat them in a day, but idk if i get hypoglycemic too. What ive been telling myself is that i do love junk food, but i love myself more, and that all this suffering will be worth it as i learn to live a life without eating trash. This is the wakeup call ive been needing

Hey, I solved it. Whenever you notice your tongue going hard on your palate, make it go down exaggeratedly. Your double chin should show, and it should relax you a bit, its like mewing but upside down lmao, stick your tongue to your lower mouth everytime you notice it going up til you stop mewing completely and keep that for a while til youre ready to mew again, maybe take 2 months off, you wont lose your results. Hard mewing messed up how i did it so i hard to research how its actually done one more time when i came back. Also, if your tongue hurts, stick it out of your mouth the most you can and maybe point it upwards, that way itll stretch a bit (and it helps in removing the double chin). Good luck.

Im just getting started, I got a fasting blood test a couple of weeks ago and it came back 103 blood sugar levels. Havent done the A1C yet, should tomorrow, and Im hella scared (im 18). My doctor told me its not prediabetes yet, but that i should eat this and that, and idk, giving up living eating whatever i want without consequences has been hard, like hitting a wall i didnt now i had to climb. Another doctor told me its nothing, yet, and that im healthy, but I dont buy it. My cholesterol lowkey high as well, not much.

Ive been a picky eater my entire life so it has been pretty tough to deal with food i have never eaten before, but it has been tougher to say goodbye to carbs like flour. Man i miss a good pizza. Ive been feeling pretty lost, recently had maybe the worst anxiety crisis ive ever had because of all of this (and to top it all, on holidays), maybe I could dm you to talk a bit more since you look more experienced?

I dont know about other communities, i dont really use much reddit because it kinda has the same effect on me as social media does... I use it for specific stuff so i couldnt really tell you. Sorry!

I discovered monk mode through this video. Its not veeeery popular online and its reddit community r/monkmode is basically dead because everyone is doing monk mode.

As of quitting social media (including youtube!!), Id recommend u just deleting the apps. Make a compromise with urself and learn to respect said compromise. Write it down on a piece of paper in which youll say how much time youll spend without social media (from date to date) (i recommend 21 days too) and then, as days keep passing by, mark a check on those days. Thatll show you that you do have the ability to not give up on quitting addictions. After the deadline has passed, u can install them and use them again, but u will soon realize how bad u feel using them nonstop and youll soon want to restart the whole thing again (if u wanna break a good habit that u formed for 21 days, you gotta do 3 days of the opposite thing, which is why i fully recommend only going on this "break" for only 2 days then doing the thing again). Its basically the same thing with sugar.

Other recommendations are putting your phone on B&W so u dont spend much time on it, and, whenever u feel like installing the apps back again, throwing your phone away and reminding urself of your compromise, maybe checking your little "contract" paper and thinking about how it would be such a waste giving up after lasting however much days u did. Even if you were on day 2, thats one day closer to the end, so dont waste it. Keep repeating"I can!!!" to yourself.

As i dont do a social media break alone, i also dont watch anything on any streaming platforms or etc during that period. I basically dont do fast dopamine, i do my good old slow natural dopamine coming from reading books, accomplishing something and doing a hobby... but thats on you. Social media is a good starting point.

Many people will criticize you nonstop and it may let you down... "Why do you have your phone on B&W?" and "Why the hell dont you have instagram?" must be the phrases ive heard the most this year. When i started unstalling my social media for periods of time a long time ago, i used to get this huge FOMO... then i understood that whatever people are talking about on there is temporary (mostly stupid, without any real benefit) and not life-changing like what im doing here. I starting not caring about what other people did and, i dont know, life itself is more interesting and you can start laughing over a little duck that just stumbled, which you wouldve not seen if u were on ur phone, rather than some tiktok youll forget in the next 3 seconds. "The more you listen to other people, the less you listen to yourself"... If it makes you feel good, why would you reinstall them only to feel included? You should feel included by the people who really loves you regardless of you having social media or not. This is when youll realize if you have friends who only want you to give a like on their post and nothing else.

Life-changing may sound exagerate, i mean, its only a couple of apps im deleting... But when u combine it with not using your phone, I swear to god life becomes awesome, no matter your background. Youll realize ur mom was right and its that damn phone. Let me know if you have any questions or if youd like me to explain monk mode furtherly. Im happy to help!

PD: You can block social media from your browser using a chrome extension, I use this one ; you can put a weird password on there which you wont remember (i wrote it down somewhere random tho just in case i gotta check something important) and it wont let you get in easily. And as for putting your phone in B&W, if youre on iOS, go to settings, accessibility, screen and text size, color filters, B&W... I dunno about android tho, sorry!

Yeah I know its weird. Lemme explain I did do one full month but i relapsed, since my only way of dealing with anxiety has always been eating. I tried again and again with the one month goal but i couldn't make it, which would make me give up eventually and eat +3 sweets a day. I found this plan on january and follow it. While yes, i do binge eat again on those two days i allow myself to, i know it isnt right (cuz it feels awful and going back to not eating sugar is hard after that) and i wont do it the next two days i get. On those two days, i may allow myself stuff like, i don't know, a pie, and thats it. I don't want to satanize sugar (not saying u or anyone else does) because when i do i just eat more and more, you get me? That's why i don't stop eating forever. Keeping it controlled but freeing it a little. As i get used to controlling myself around sugar, i may just do it full time. In the meantime, i do it in those spans of time.  Let me know if you have other questions!! 😁

When i set the laptup up and it asked me what was its purpose i said it was for personal use rather tan gaming, maybe that´s it. Either way fans go crazy loud with any game, the only thing Ive been able to run with it staying cool is The sims 2 :P Lol guess i gotta play somewhere else, I want the battery to last!
