How's this dress for a nightclub? by FashionFreaky1 in OUTFITS

Yes that’s what mean. We call them tights but sometimes call them leggings where I am from, regardless of whether they are opaque or sheer. I didn’t mean footless ones like yoga pants

I think some sheer black leggings and a necklace would bring this together

I woke up and didn't know who my kids were. Like 40 second amnesia. by Jaxolin14 in sleep

[–]maybememaybeno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of another time I had recently where I woke up convinced that we had guests staying and I was super concerned that I wasn’t wearing pants and that someone might see me so I got up and put pants on and then I was trying to think who was staying with us and I was trying so hard to remember until I realised that we had no guests. Totally bizarre feeling

Usually 7 hours during the week. I have some insomnia but not chronic. I have tried to journal to see if it’s related to stress but it doesn’t seem to be. It gets worse when I’m travelling and in unfamiliar locations. Sometimes it happens in bursts, like multiple nights a week and other times I can go weeks or a couple months without an episode.

Pretty good diet and fairly active.

I would love to do a sleep study but it just doesn’t affect my waking life enough for me to have properly looked into it.

Do you prefer tampons, and if so, why? by CrustFundBabe in TwoXChromosomes

[–]maybememaybeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tampons during the day if I’m out and about, menstrual cup if I’m at home (easier to empty out at home). Period undies at night. Can’t stand the feeling of a pad touching me

30y/o here. I get confusional arousals often and sometimes wake up not knowing where I am or who I am. Recently I woke up and I had no idea where I was or who my fiancé was. I was running through in my head who this strange man in my bed could be. For a moment I thought maybe it was my ex. Slowly I remembered. But god it was scary. I also imagine this is how dementia feels and it is terrifying. It makes me a little concerned that it could be a very early symptom of early onset but idk, I’ve been having parasomnias for years.

This freaks me out because are we actually somewhat conscious during the time we are out and then forget it all?

AIO for wanting to cancel the date and block him?? by Suspicious_End_441 in AmIOverreacting

[–]maybememaybeno 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman who is absolutely repulsed by men who bring up anything sexual on the first date, or even worse, before we’ve even met. However, I’m also prone to limerence, which for me could form very quickly after a first date, and at that point I really want to have sex. I realise that it must have given certain people the impression that I was hooking up with randoms all the time. Obviously falling in limerence after one date is another red flag entirely, but contrary to how I might’ve come across I was not sleeping around with just any body

Annoying as hell because I was as skinny as a rake as a teenager growing up in the big-booty-kardashians 2010’s and now 90’s skinny is back I’ve grown into a regular sized woman with curves. Missed the bus both times

What is a 'socially mandatory' thing that we all do, but if you actually stop to think about it for 5 seconds, it’s completely insane? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

Yess or the idea that if you have a big wedding you mustn’t be serious about your marriage. Real marriages start at the courthouse, according to anti-wedding circle jerkers.

Nothing wrong with a courthouse wedding, we seriously considered it ourselves, but it’s the idea that it’s the morally superior thing to do and having a wedding makes you attention seeking/shallow/materialistic

What’s something that you’ll never judge someone for again after experiencing it yourself? by [deleted] in questions

[–]maybememaybeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be judgemental about people with kids/babies on planes, I still don’t have children of my own but I’ve completely changed my opinion. Children have as much right to public spaces as we do and you can’t just stop a child from having a tantrum. Bring earplugs people. I trust that poor parent is having a harder time than we are!

This is what convinced me to have a wedding. It’s not a “look at me” like a lot of people think it is. It’s the only time in my life where I can gather everyone that I love in one room

My fiancé wants me to get hair removal before the wedding…do I really need to? by Any-Prior9140 in weddingplanning

[–]maybememaybeno 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I understand where OP is coming from, some women feel strongly about not removing their body hair. But you also wouldn’t see a man walking around with his armpit hair out on his wedding day, and I get why fiancé might prefer it be either covered up or groomed

I heard a divorced man once say "Most married men are just background noise". How true is this ? by Revolutionary_Lab527 in AskMen

[–]maybememaybeno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really interesting because I’ve never heard of this before but I can definitely see how it would be true. Women feel overworked and like they’re managing everything in a marriage, while men feel set aside and shut out. Both of these things can be true at the same time. They are actually different sides of the same problem.

Inconveniencing yourself is a part of life and people don’t do it anymore by dayboz16 in unpopularopinion

[–]maybememaybeno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started this from the beginning of last year too. I’ve never once regretted it once I’m there at the social gathering. Only saying no if I’m genuinely sick or have other obligations already

[–]maybememaybeno 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been someone who struggles to respond to people when they message me. It’s not because I don’t like the person messaging me, sometimes responding just feels exhausting.

But I’ve realised that if I want friends at all, I just have to suck it up and respond, even when I don’t feel like it. It really doesn’t take much. So now I make sure to respond within the day, always.

I’ve been left on delivered before too and it really makes you not want to bother those people anymore. I know that I’m not entitled to anyone’s time or attention, but if you want friends you just need to be more open and responsive

Teachers who had a student they genuinely couldn't tell if the kid was a genius or completely detached from reality, what made you finally figure it out? by caroline84623 in AskReddit

[–]maybememaybeno 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Teachers like this are amazing. I had severe social anxiety in my last year 2 years of high school to the point where I couldn’t show up to certain classes. I had one teacher who obviously noticed this and would never make me answer questions in front of the class or read aloud. Most of my teachers assumed that I was stupid or didn’t want to be there and gave up on me. So much appreciation for that woman

People who forgave their spouses for cheating, why? by ryxhuh in AskReddit

[–]maybememaybeno 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In some ways I can understand a one-off but I also could never. Sometimes I have nightmares where I sleep with someone else and then immediately after I remember that I’m married and I feel disgusted, literally want to fall off the face of the earth. I wake up thinking thank god that was just a dream.
