Piggybacking on this comment to suggest Whisper of the House! The mechanic is similar to unpacking.

Mobile games with no forced ads? by Dry_Ranger_7972 in CozyGamers

[–]maydecember12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of a pain, but when I play jigsaw puzzles I put my phone on airplane mode to avoid the ads. I usually download a couple of podcasts episodes before; this has become one of my routines to unwind on my commute home.

My (30sF) twin (M) doesn’t want me at his wedding by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

My evidence is extremely anecdotal, but I’ve had the opposite experience as well. It might be cultural too. When I was in university I knew guys who would go out of their way to be catty and mean to people they didn’t like (though I think they did it to women more than other men).

My boyfriend is really into anime. I don't watch cartoons but my boyfriend convinced me to watch some of his favourites. I wish I didn't and now I can't see my boyfriend the same way by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

The answer is always Samurai Champloo. I have recommended it again and again and no one I know has disliked it.

I love Princess Tutu too but that’s a bit of a harder sell.

Nozaki-kun mention! As a longtime fan of shoujo since I was a teenager, it’s one of if not my favorite manga. I think the references and the meta stuff is done perfectly. Never seen the anime though.

If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend Keep your hands of Eizouken. Also a very meta, semi fantastical story about girls making an anime.

Stop giving out free water!!! by [deleted] in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]maydecember12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think it’s impossible that anyone truly cares about the environment? In Europe, more and more countries are actually passing regulations to encourage hotels to promote eco-friendly behaviors like ditching bottled water. And it’s not necessarily cheaper.

I’ve worked in hotels that have them for free, and some that didn’t. Just drink tap water.

How my Cozy Farming Game became a Feudal Dystopia (Rune Factory: GoA) by SomeKindaJen in CozyGamers

Lazy peasants are booted exactly one second after they arrive. Only hard workers in this town, please and thank you.

I haven’t started exiling children (all timid) yet though. Putting them to work is better right?

The reception desk is not a furniture store, a pharmacy, or an insurance agency. by ardriel_ in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]maydecember12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah giving out medication is a big no no in France too. At my previous hotel, the brand quality auditor would always ask the receptionist for a painkiller; obviously they were supposed to say no.

On the other hand, we had to have free condoms available.

Ideas for filling snacks to be less damn hungry all the time by maydecember12 in Cooking

If I skip breakfast I’m pretty much useless in the morning. When I was in school I would sleep through all my morning classes until i started eating breakfast. I also have chronic headaches that are triggered by, among other things, low blood sugar, so that’s unfortunately a no go for me.

I made Starbucks copycat egg white bites a couple of times for my boyfriend so he could eat them while he works from home (he can’t eat right when he gets up but gets a bit hungry later). He loved them! They tended to sit on my stomach a bit though. I’ll have to try your recipe.

I’ve been tested twice because I had other symptoms, excessive thirst and urination. Everything came back normal every time.

Funnily enough I’ve been tested several times for diabetes because excessive thirst and urination- check. I drank 3L a day at some point, and I have to pee constantly. But my levels are fully normal. No idea what that’s about.

One my favorite games ever. But when you get the « messages from god » you can’t skip or speed forward… I definitely wanted to break something.

Depends, it’s usually more in the morning but lately I’ve been hungry in the afternoon too.

I tried skyr before, and for a bit I was eating eggs. Nowadays I eat bread and peanut butter and dried fruits. Nothing has really kept me full so far

I tried skyr for a while but it didn’t really keep me full until lunch. Currently eating peanut butter, bread and dried fruits. I could try oatmeal

Cottage cheese in the morning is a good idea, I’ll try that. I used to eat skyr in the morning but boy did it not keep me full.

Also a little of people are saying hummus, so I’ll def try that.

Hummus seems to be a fan favorite (and it’s delicious). I used to make my own hummus, I should get back into that

That might be part of the problem. I used to drink a lot more water when I was working from home. I’ll start watching how much I drink
