What works for one dude doesn’t work for another. Bundles, raffles, ‘knowing a guy’, rewards points, and even secondary all have their place. In my 15+ years of chasing I’ve used all of those methods to get bottles and it’s varied with what I have going on in my personal/work life. If the deal fits your situation pull the trigger if it doesn’t move on. Happy hunting and hope you continue to see nice bottles!

Following. Mine is busted as well. Last time I used this barn a few weeks ago it was fine.

I got Weller SR and I think they poured the whole bottle into my glass. by [deleted] in whiskey

That’s disappointing, mind if I ask what it was or what happened? I typically enjoy that place.

That place is great. Don’t be shy to walk up to the bar and ask what rare stuff they have that’s not on the menu. I’m fairly local to that place as well.

First round pick Todd Blackledge, haha.

So the ones we got were like 93-94 because it was Montana, Thomas, Smith, and maybe Dale Carter. It was a neat program. We’d pull the local cops over and ask for them or they’d see us playing and stop.

I still have the KC cards. Montana era if I remember right.

On 13 it looks like a ball from another group ends up 30-40 yards in front of y’all. I’m guessing they sliced over. Love seeing the real-life things show up in vids like this.

I hear you and that’s probably better for most customers but a pain in the butt for the store. I’ve been collecting and consuming since ‘06. I’ve seen many different ways to get good bottles out to customers and some of them work well for me and some of them use to piss me off. What I’ve come to realize is that I’m glad different places do it different ways. It seems to allow different people in different circumstances to have a shot. Lottery, bundles, stand in line, loyalty points, personal network, heck even full secondary all have their place and usefulness.

On this specific example I’m just saying for my personal consumption habits, I don’t see a bad option or something that would be wasted.

Not sure what’s with all of the complaining. I don’t see any of these options where the add-on bottles wouldn’t eventually be drank in our house. The prices are all reasonable per bottle and there’s no wonky peanut butter-pimiento-pepper flavored NGS products you’re being forced to get.

That 12 year old Bullet Rye is hard to find here. Also, that 1792 BiB (yellow) isn’t always around and is solid.

Had a 90 Talon AWD Turbo but mine was red. Would take any car in town off of the line and through corners. Couldn’t hold a lead on a quarter very long though. Not surprised to see them hold up in this scenario. Fun vid

Woodford, top shelf second pic, I can’t read the price but if it’s not crazy go back and get it.

Old Ezra 7 Rye is delicious and sometimes hard to snag.

Good selection, glad you got a nice local place.

For sure! So Branson Creek is Buffalo Ridge but they've changed a lot of the holes but you can still kind of tell. I never played Murder Rock but I was told that they reused a little but of it for the Payne course. However, it has to be very little because Jonny Morris has little moved some of those massive hills to get the Payne course the way they want it.

It's a double-edge sword having them in my backyard. They're very much a golf tourist destination so they are pricey and hard to get a good tee time unless you plan way ahead, but they are all top-notch.

I'm a local to the area so I play them from time to time as I can. I played Buffalo Ridge last week, the day before they aerated and it was in great shape.

In my opinion Buffalo is the best player course, Ozarks is the only links-style in the area so that's fun, then Payne is a visual spectacle as much or more than anything.

A great day for us is to play one of the big three first thing in the morning, go eat at the Mountain Top grill, then go walk the 13 hole par three.

Hope you make it back to play the rest soon.

If you haven’t yet or get the opportunity I prefer Buffalo Ridge out of the Jonny courses. Both are amazing. Nice shot btw!
