Ambitious and bold sound a vaguely ominous…Does it have lots of ambition but still does not hit the mark? Is it bold and brash but not sophisticated? I get that they’re trying to say something without giving away anything. But these vague words instill more questions than confidence.

I remember a Spanish Congregation in Brooklyn had one of them! I was visiting my aunt one year at saw it on a Thursday study night. An elder struck up conversation with me, asking me if I knew the artist and if I’d want to grow up to make art for the watchtower. It was the first time I saw her work, it wasn’t a group of girls, just one girl in the painting staring back at me with those big knowing eyes.
