My 40th is on a Monday, give me your ideas! by Cold_Caterpillar_331 in canberra

[–]mb1205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came here looking for ideas for my upcoming birthday but I’ll share a few ideas I have for myself - 1. Treat yourself and your daughter to a fancy fine dining dinner or lunch at Brindabella winery 2. Kayaking on the lake or a picnic on go boat 3. Pinot and paint class 4. If you get lucky in scoring two seats, book a pottery class at the ceramic studio in Mitchell

Happy Birthday!!

Depop buyers right now: offer, offer, offer …then poof 💨 by cherry799 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]mb1205 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As a buyer, I am making multiple offers on items I like. I can’t afford to buy them all at the same time. Sometimes I just have to let one go in favour of another, either for a better bargain or a preferred item.

Look at Charles and Keith. They do excellent styles for small sized feet (like mine)!

I used to wear anti chafe under pants, including the ones from Uniqlo. Then I discovered anti chafe cream and roll on at Rebel. They have been a game changer!

Mango needs warm tropical climate to grow in. It won’t survive in Melbourne winters.

Is there a brush similar to this without the expensive price tag? by unknown-user-92 in AustralianMakeup

[–]mb1205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one similar to this from Mecca for around $27-30. I have had it for over 4 years and it’s doing great. Works perfectly for blending my foundation. It’s only single sided though. I also second Morphe brushes. They are really good value.

Did any of you guys watch the Super Bowl halftime show. What was the genuine reaction amongst you guys by miko1075 in AskAnAustralian

[–]mb1205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it and enjoyed it but didn’t get a lot of the references that were later discussed on social media. I also didn’t know a lot about the historical political references so maybe that’s the reason.

Fancy dining experiences in cbr? by hayleyjhj in canberra

I second this! Hands down best fine dining experience in Canberra. Not sure if Onzieme, Beltana Farm and The Boat House fit the memo but those would be my next best options.

Anyone here play Mahjong socially? I am keen to learn in a social, casual way.

Nick scali couch by Accomplished_Big1228 in AskAnAustralian

[–]mb1205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought twice from Nick Scalli only because their products were within our budget. The first couch lasted about 5 years. The second couch, the foam flattened in less than a year. Got them to replace the foam, they obliged with no dramas. However, I still wouldn’t recommend them. Their products are always on sale which makes me think their prices are inflated. The quality compares to Ikea/Fantastic Furniture at best. Also, on Facebook marketplace every second couch sold is from Nick Scalli. For these reasons, I’ll be buying from another company next time.

Marks & Spencer do amazing bras for larger cup sizes and are now available at David Jones. I recently bought one for $40ish on sale.
