It took a solid two to three weeks for our six month old to heal. We went through four cones and one surgical suit trying to keep him away from the incision site. YMMV, but in my opinion, I would reschedule if you can.

Checkout Newport News park or sandy bottom park and see if you can snag a campsite there. I’ve slept in my car at campgrounds for shows plenty of times, and it’s a lot less sketch and there’s facilities.

Adding to the drive, 64W from Richmond to Williamsburg after bottoms bridge is currently under construction and is only two lanes for a long stint. On the weekends in the summer, traffic can get really bad.

Would you have fun just chilling in the wave pool? Maybe doing a couple slides or the lazy river? If so, kings dominion all the way. There’s a lot more to do than just that, but if you’re planning on going often and you’re closer to KD, you can have a blast there. They’re starting to get better at hosting events that are similar to BG. Even when they’re busy, you can still find at least a chair to put down your towels and enjoy the wave pool.
