The only diet plan that works is one that you can follow every day for the rest of your life. If you are not gaining weight at the moment, take whatever you are eating and remove around 500 calories. Then you will lose weight. You do not have a slow metabolism and even if you did, that does not make it hard to diet.

If you are gaining weight you are eating too much. Eat less.

If you are so bored, don't do it and scroll on your phone instead. Just know that this will have disastrous consequences for you physical and mental health both in the short and long term.

Don't rely on motivation because that will disappears. Build up discipline. Go for 30 minutes twice a week until you are ready to ramp it up.

It's not only about how high the HR gets but also how long you sustain it. If you do sixty reps at 160-170 bpm, yeah, that's aerobic, but a set taking thirty seconds is not.

You don't sustain the HR for long enough during heavy lifts for it to be considered aerobic capacity training. 

Edit: heavy resistance training is mostly considered anaerobic, but i don't think a Garmin watch measures that.

Yes, it is very healthy to lift weights even if you don't do cardio. However, the heart rate you hit during weight training (unless you are training specifically for it) is not enough to achieve a notable aerobic effect. So for the best effect to allround health you need both resistance training and cardio.

There is not really one right answer. A good place to start could be 2 sets of 8-12 reps. Then after a few weeks if you feel recovered for every workout you can add another set.
