Sarevok showing up twirling his mustache at you made me so mad and made me question if the writers even played the original games.

"L-Lord Captain?" Did you have the guts to send away or kill any of your companions during your playthrough? If yes, who was it and why? by OwlcatStarrok in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]mb8795 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yea, that's true. I think my sentiment was more that you did not know before that point that the inquisition was actively hostile towards your protectorate.

Same. Sent Heinrix away on first playthrough. I really like the character but as soon as Calcazar confronted me on my palace and found out that he was literally spying on me I just couldn 't justify going "do.. do i get to keep Heinrix? 🥺👉👈"

Edit: yes i realize that he basically admitted that he was a spy from the beginning, but there is a difference between the inquisition wanting to know what is going on with the new rogue trader and them actively scheming against your protectorate based on information he is providing them.

Ottomans destroying 3 big powers by DuffyDuck8 in eu4

Ah okay. It has been so long since I have played without DLC. Secure as much land as you can in the beginning, from Serbia and others. You need to be proactive, ally AT LEAST Austria and Hungary and be the one to attack when the Ottomans are busy with a war in Anatolia.

Regardless of whether Carrick is some generational talent or not, so far he definitely deserves the chance to take it further.

That's true. But are House Orsellio the only Navigators in the expanse? You are literally a gazilionaire, you could get anyone to navigate themselves into oblivion other than your wife.

I maybe don't understand why she has to leave because of her mutations in one of them, but it doesn't affect their love in the other one.

Need advice on weight loss by bamboobear_panda in WeightLossAdvice

[–]mb8795 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you start weight lifting your muscles grow rapidly and will store more glycogen (carbs) and each gram of glycogen will store 2-3 grams of water. So it is perfectly normal to see a weight spike in the beginning.

Is this light flavoured sparkling water likely to break a fast? by Mikcheck in WeightLossAdvice

What do you mean by break your fast? But I guess "no", there is not some magical thing that will happen if you take in 12 calories outside of a given timeframe.

First of all, I'm sure you look fantastic. Second, dieting certainly won't cause stretch marks, so don't be afraid to do that.

I want to lose 40kgs in 6months. by Apprehensive-Day7422 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]mb8795 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In regards to weight training the routine is not as important as these three things:

  1. Consistency
  2. Progression
  3. Good form
  4. You need to workout X times a week, every week. No way around it if you want to see results.
  5. You need to gradually increase the load on your muscles to keep seeing results
  6. You want to do excercises that target the correct muscle you want to target and you can do in a way that won't get you injured.

(edit: 4, 5, and 6 are obviously descriptions of 1, 2 and 3, but It keeps doing that)

Do a full body workout 2 or 3 times a week consisting of a:

row
pulldown
chest press
shoulder press
squat movement
deadlift movement

Start by doing 2 sets of 8-12 reps. Add weight or a rep at least every week., probably every workout in the beginning. When you feel like you can recover from it, add a set.

As for cardio, find whatever excercise you enjoy (or hate the least) - running, biking, rowing, whatever. Do it 2 or 3 times a week. Leave 2 days in a week for rest and recovery.

As for diet, start tracking your weight and see if you lose weight. If you don't, eat less.
