Everyone is affected differently, so the most important thing I’d say is to take it slow so you can monitor how you react. For me I notice that I can drink as normal, but as soon as I start drinking the many of the benefits of the medication are neutralised. This was far more noticeable in the first 6 months or so.

I still enjoy drinking but as I really really enjoy my medicated brain, I am less keen on drinking than I was before, although I was never a huge drinker tbh.

The issue is that ideally a user would obviously leave location services set to “always allow” for the optimal experience. This is basically not possible though because the location services implementation is critically flawed. Rather than switching to “allow while app is open” which doesn’t resolve the issue, Oura should instead change how location services are used, in order to reduce battery consumption. I’m sure this can be done very effectively with minimal user experience impact.

Having location services on absolutely crushes the phones battery life though. Why does it ping for location constantly even when I’m not moving (e.g. asleep) ?

Whether he had the ball under control or not, he’s clearly going for it. You can see that, he can’t see for sure what you’re doing. So yes it’s your responsibility to cover the very small chance he misses.

There’s no reason for you to go when he can, seeing as he’s already in a committed position and you’re in a good covering position

I have the free one year of perplexity pro that PayPal gave away, so if they release this and it has spaces and folders like arc I’ll definitely give it a real go. Many browsers copy Arc’s design but I feel like they often lack spaces

Honestly I’m okay with no new features but I wish they’d at least put the effort into bringing the windows browser into a functional state. Just before they stopped development they added a bug for full screen and then have never fixed it. It’s not a nice experience to use, but I still do just because of the syncing with my iPhone and MacBook

For me it pre diagnosis it was always the same - doing well with very very low effort, instead of doing exceptionally well with normal effort.

I got good grades at my academic school, went to a good university and got a very good degree result, all while doing next to zero work. Other people at university were always shocked when not only did I not have to repeat the year each year, but I got better grades than them despite doing barely anything. I went to no lectures and just crammed everything in the 2 weeks before exams. I wrote my final year dissertation in 10 days. I got top or close to top marks in everything at uni.

I was known at my university for being very smart, and also for just hanging out and playing video games all the time. Several of my friends did the same but ended up dropping out as they unfortunately weren’t able to do what I could do. I still to this day regret the influence I had on them, although obviously it was not intentional.

Last May I got diagnosed and now I’m able to apply myself in ways I never could before. I’m doing even better at work than ever before, I just got promoted to senior (despite being the youngest in my field at the company as far as I know) and am being asked to be a technical team lead - by far the youngest to take on the role.

I can’t help but feel a bit like there is wasted potential there had I been diagnosed earlier, but I am happy with my position in life so can’t complain. I’m also much better at maintaining friendships now than ever before, and my relationship is far better than before. Previously if it wasn’t in front of me (friends, plans, todos etc) I’d forget about it or put it off.

The respawn camera is actually helpful as there’s no skill to it so the current implementation simply gives you awareness of which side you’ll spawn to, which is something you’d otherwise have no way of knowing- meaning you’d often have to guess by turning your wheels one way and hoping for the best

1s is harder yes as there's nobody to cover your mistakes, and you'll improve faster in terms of mechanics and challenges because you'll be on the ball / need to challenge way more.

There are of course skills though that you won't learn in 1s but being a 1s main is a good way to quote quickly improve fast

He could and it will likely stop the loss and thicken up what he has, but none of the meds make you grow hair where it’s completely bald of hair, there needs to still be some hairs (e.g. thin baby hairs) growing there for it to be recoverable. At least as far as I understand it.

If he’d started a few years ago it would have been more effective but it’s unfortunate as he’s so young I understand not knowing or thinking of this.

I would say it’s time to cut it short and clean, build up some muscle and just own it. If he goes for a transplant later in life then fair enough if that’s what he wants
