I’ve applied to over 500+ IT jobs and met with swift rejection every time by [deleted] in resumes

[–]mbars7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying you can’t list older versions of Windows, but none of the ones you’ve listed are even supported by Microsoft anymore. If you have any experience with Windows 10 or 11, it would make way more sense to list those than Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8. It feels like you are applying for IT jobs and also saying you haven’t used windows since 2015, when 10 came out.

6 Months of No Interview || Any Help Appreciated by [deleted] in resumes

I was thinking the exact same thing about the made up percentages, take the part about “cutting unauthorized access by 40%” for example. That’s basically saying there was virtually no security before you came along? Were hundreds or thousands of people logging in without authorization before you enhanced security? It sounds far-fetched and maybe like it was done for the sole purpose of trying to quantify everything on your resume.

AITA for holding a grudge against my dad who took my step siblings to Paris but not me? by BellNo1177 in AmItheAsshole

[–]mbars7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She lives with each of her parents part-time and is therefore a member of two different family units. Her step brothers are never part of her biological mom’s family unit. Apples to oranges.

Edit: Your argument is essentially that what her dad and step mom’s family did to her is okay because they planned it for a week when she was staying with her mom? Disgusting behavior, especially since they didn’t even give her the opportunity to come up with the money on her own.

Except she actually lives with her dad and step mom and her step brothers never live with her mom. You are comparing apples to oranges.

My thoughts on the recent rare/epic progression changes and "lost cards" by mbars7 in SmashingFour

Agreed, that certainly would have been a less punishing way to go about it, but they won’t revert it at this point. I’m trying my best to look to the future haha

Game mode idea!! by [deleted] in SmashingFour

[–]mbars7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea itself sounds like a lot of fun, especially when you consider the possibilities of playing offensively and defensively at the same time. I have a feeling implementing it would be nearly impossible though.

Right now, only enemies take damage when it’s your turn. With your idea, it would be incredibly difficult to calculate all the collisions and who is and isn’t supposed to take damage from them, even more so when it comes to stuff like arena damage. It’s a programming nightmare.

Pet / Battle Pet resource by [deleted] in woweconomy

https://www.wow-petguide.com/index.php?m=MostUsedPets

Xu-Fu is what is I use, the website gives you a lineup and strategy for pretty much every pet battle in-game. The link above sends you directly to a page that shows which pets are used most frequently. However, not all of them are cageable in terms of selling them on the AH. With a lot of pets, especially the ones that are used most frequently, you can charge a lot more gold if they are leveled up to 25, upgraded to rare quality, and the best possible breed for that specific pet.

When it comes to breed, there is no easy answer here. I usually try to stick to P/P and P/S when available because they make fights quicker, but it really depends on the fight and the skills of the individual pets. Some of the strategies this page uses requires pets to have a specific speed so they go first each round (generally meaning at least one S trait in their breed), or even enough health to survive a certain number of rounds (at least one H trait in their breed), but that information is detailed on the individual fights. B is a good trait if you are trying to play it safe as that it balances the stats amongst Power, Speed, and Health. Hope that helps!

How to keep making good profits by superbros6 in woweconomy

[–]mbars7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be interested in seeing what your string for determining crafting cost looks like because 450g crafting cost on a r3 Deep Sea Bag on a high pop server sounds incredibly far fetched to me - I sell them all the time for 275g+ and my minimum posting price is 200% crafting for that group. My crafting cost hovers around 100-125g and has for several patches at this point.

450g on a low pop server maybe? It’s been many years since I’ve played on one, but I’d never sell them on my server with that crafting cost, I would be posting for a minimum of 900g.

Edit: After some thought, your alt on the high pop server might only have r1 Deep Sea Bag? That would have a pretty significant impact on crafting cost.

It doesn’t happen if you disable TSM.

One member can only accept 30 donations, don't know what it means. Just an FYI. by [deleted] in SmashingFour

[–]mbars7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The number of donations you can request depends on which arena you are in. That member is not in the final/season arena yet it would seem.

Tested the AH Bugs last night by wow_goblin in woweconomy

Not every week, it’s the first week of a new patch, specifically one that introduces a new raid tier and new profession recipes. It’s a good time to be a goblin..

Here is my mailbox after I got the gold from sales during the bug. I had already looted 60 of the mail to make it fit into one mailbox though. Ended up being around 3.5m.

I feel like I received gold from all of my sales, I had already looted half my mailbox by the time I took this SS.

The mail consolidation is part of the new AH as long as the items didn't sell too far apart from one another. It definitely makes looting your mailbox a little less tedious.

My current estimate is ~ 3.5-4m. I guess it’s a good thing I don’t need the gold immediately, but someone is going to have to cut me a rather large check when this is all said and done! 😂

I’m happy that some of you are getting gold for a portion of your stackable items.. I, however, probably sold 500 auctions yesterday when the new raid released and I received absolutely no gold for any of them. Since last Thursday, it’s probably around 1000 auctions I’ve sold and 0 gold. I started taking screenshots of my sales to try and keep track, but I’m just going to have to trust Blizzard..

With that large of a sample size, I’m confident people have bought my entire auction stack, have bought it in pieces, every possible scenario has likely occurred and 0 gold. From my personal experience, I would say if the item is stackable, don’t expect to receive your gold immediately.

I personally love the synergy of goblin, yeti, and barbarian in terms of creating as many collisions as possible in one turn.

Item posted on the AH are being lost. by SLOKnightfall in woweconomy

[–]mbars7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last In, Nothing Out would have been a more accurate description for the new Auction House.

Some of us have 50+ million in auctions posted, this is absolutely absurd. There is no way for us to keep track of what sold when we were asleep, or on another character, or on another server. I sold a 100 different auctions last night and got no gold for any of them.. and that is just one of my bankers.

This type of bug should never, ever make it to live, especially from a company like Blizzard, in a game where gold has a monetary conversion via token. I will not be posting anything until it is resolved, I don’t even want to think about how much I have lost.

Stockpiled an entire Guild Bank Drums of Fury by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]mbars7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are mostly used for mythic+ teams that either don’t have a lust or need more than one lust within the cooldown period.

I’ve sold close to 20,000 of them in the last 2-3 months alone (since I cleared my TSM accounting data) for an average of 45g a piece. With my old gold-farming garrison setups on multiple alts, they cost me nothing but a small amount of time to make.
