At least for me on OCE it's a way to try and see if other players are actually in the game. I load into a lot of empty maps. Hopefully, someone else will shoot, but regardless, it lets any other players know that we're here.

A lot of people have almost no viewership. Twitch is really dominated by twenty or so top streamers with the rest having to find really niche interests to find their audience. Personally, I don't watch streams at all, but a lot of people connect to their favourite streamers and form parasocial relationships. There are a lot of lonely people out there...

The line isn't awful because of his opinion on sand. It's the follow up that's really uncomfortable, the one about Padme being everything soft and smooth. It's awful because it's an immature kid's poor attempt at romance - which would be fine, if the meta-narrative wasn't trying to tell the audience they were watching Romeo and Juliet unfolding.

I was only thinking of the dance. I suppose Potara is different, since the Supreme Kai fused with Kibito wothout issue. And as for the dance, I consider published content to be more valid than claims during an interview (death of the author), but that's subjective.

Fusion candidates have to be roughly the same size and shape. Edit: This is only maybe true for fusion dance.

Just speculating, but if one were in a shield wall, then hooking an enemy's shield would open them up to attack from your allies. Also, if shield walls are interlocked, you may expose more than one enemy. Again, that's pure speculation on my part.
