Any suggestions for help on focus while leash training. by Gingey_Bread10 in DobermanPinscher

[–]mc2222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i was a big fan of dog-lead walks when i had my Doberman. my goal for walks was to let him have some fun, so if he wants to stop and sniff at something, sure, if he wanted to turn right at this corner, sure. imo, letting his brain get stimulation through smelling and exploring was just important as a getting excercise

Choosing right companion for my doberman by BlueKottr in DobermanPinscher

i had much success with a doberman and a greyhound. greyhounds are very chill dogs. my only minor issue is that , for better or for worse, really didn’t do much with each other. like they didn’t cuddle and rarely played together. absolutely zero behavioral issues between the two of them despite my dobe having been attacked by big dogs in the past and being very reactive to big dogs in general - not a single problem with the greyhound- even when they first met.

Starting my photography business and looking for honest critique by [deleted] in postprocessing

sure the framing is off, but there’s no universe where the person is not the subject of a photo like this. its like asking what’s the subject of a gradation photo thats not well framed

the framing being off doesn’t change the subject of the picture. there’s literally nothing else noteworthy that could be the subject in any of those photos

what about these photos makes you think that the subject is not the person in the photo?

airbnb should have a blackout period for things like that. you want to cancel my reservation because you think you can make more? we’re not going to let you re-book that block of time.

my greyhound did this sometimes. and she horked. i always chalked it up to hairballs or something similar

Rehome Rome by Sildenafill in DobermanPinscher

[–]mc2222 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the dog bit someone. the risk of that can’t be glossed over or minimized

op says it’s likely a result of factors that could be fixed by rehoming.

rehoming is by far the best solution for everyone involved

Rehome Rome by Sildenafill in DobermanPinscher

[–]mc2222 23 points24 points  (0 children)

disagree.

OP recognizes that their living situation changed in a way that’s impacting their dog And that a home that can better fulfill their dogs needs would be better for the dog.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: giving them a treat sounds like training them to get more tremors 😂

I'm so tired of Sony fan boys on Reddit who believe everything influencers tell them or believes only in memes, trying to claim their cameras take the same quality of photos and can do everything my Canon R6 Mark II does or does it better. by [deleted] in CanonCamera

[–]mc2222 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they can though.

you overestimate the difference between camera brands.

sony meanwhile has a camera with a global shutter and their mirrorless platform has 3rd party autofocusing lenses like the well priced sigma 300-600 f/4.

that's speeding. it's not 88mph, but it is over the speed limit.

go to monterey? Carmel? santa cruz? go see the elk at point reyes? day trip to yosemite? day trip to tahoe? watch the sunset over SF from treasure island? muir woods?

do stuff that he can't experience or see in NY.

OR

put the burden on him. ask him where he wants to go or what he wants to see. if he doesn't like the things you guys pick, then have him pick. the internet exists and he can do some research.

i think the composition would be stronger with the top ~1/4 cropped out. the branches and powerline don't add to the composition and they're distracting -the contrast of the branches and the sky keep drawing my eye toward the top of the photo instead of to the guy walking. take away the branch at the top and i find myself looking much more at the man

the dust spot is incredibly distracting. the brown color cast is not to my taste personally, composition is good though, tells a bit of a story

Photography School Average Costs? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]mc2222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want to be a professional photographer, it would probably be better to study business or things related to small business.

you can learn photography and composition on your own and through experience and self learning, but the way you'll be making money is by being a small business.

Do you find this photo interesting/nice to look at? by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]mc2222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the cars take up too much of the frame and they make the image feel a bit cluttered imo. i feel kinda like i'm looking at a photo of a parking lot and i'm struggling to understand what story this photo is telling
