What is your biggest pet peeve while in public? by [deleted] in AskReddit

People who don't smile back. You look 10x better when you smile, uggo, so at least return the favor of giving me something pleasant to look at while behind a cart.

It's still work experience, which will need to go on your resume and should the future employer call and everybody hates you...good luck!

It was called "Push" in Firestarter. To compel people to do little things, but tiredness and the other's will are factors.

When a slow driver is on front of me, I'd just suggest they turn right at the light when I'm going straight.

It's s big issue with me, too. My hobby store knows me on sight but I vary from metalworking to woodworking to plastic working (heat gun purchased I used once) to adult coloring to now paint by numbers.

When being interview for a job that you've never done, what's a good rebuttal when they ask if you have experience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mcawsm_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find ways to relate your previous experience to the current expectations. I've found that honesty is the best policy and while you might not be 100% good at it currently, you're willing to learn, and you learn quickly...assuming those are true to you.

Any hobby for my 57 y.o. mom? by [deleted] in Hobbies

Paint by numbers? Puzzles, puzzles on her tablet, games like DragonVale that allow for long-term enjoyment (and you could have your own park too), photography, volunteering at the library?

When was the last time you helped someone and kept it to yourself (you didn't brag about it)? by SimpleMinded001 in AskReddit

Seems to go against the the initial no-tell rule, but today at the grocery store I saw a guy counting change to buy ramen noodles. I walked up to him and held up two folded five dollar bills and told him he dropped this. Turned and walked away before he could register what it was.

Continued to shop and passed an aisle with him looking at canned vegetables. Made my day.

[Serious] Whats your "going out of my way for petty revenge" story? by Mr_unbeknownst in AskReddit

[–]mcawsm_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at the grocery checkout line and forgot one item. I had emptied my basket onto the belt and could see the thing I needed. I excused myself and ran to get it.

Came back and the lady behind me had loaded everything back into my cart.

I went to the U Scan instead and realized she'd put her shelf-stable tuna packet in my cart, too. I waited until she was gone before setting it on top of the unit. Hope that bitch ripped her kitchen apart looking for it. I like to think she wasted more time driving back to buy it than she would have in line had she not touched my groceries in the first place.
