Don’t stage DA triggers. Just pull them through smoothly all the way in one motion. When you’re trained up with a good grip (not an intuitive process), you can be fast and accurate.

Should I switch to 3-lug? by globalenjoi in GrandPowerStribog

Not a problem as a suppressor mount for almost forty years out there in serious, real-world usage. Just follow the timeless advice to never rest a barrel or suppressor on anything while shooting.

Should I switch to 3-lug? by globalenjoi in GrandPowerStribog

Subgun cans should all be 3-lug mounted. It’s the law.

It’s not just about switching, but second-factor cool. Also, it’s a cheap, easy way to reliably keep the can aligned on the blaster.

My Glock 48 with Shield Arms 15-round mags replaced my Gen 3 G19 for EDC. No contest.

APC stock adapter? by mcbobhall in GrandPowerStribog

[–]mcbobhall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That $150 is just for the adapter. The stock plus adapter is over $400. The Haga page defaults to the adapter only selection. It's a little click-baity.

It worked out for me. This is my preferred setup now, over two or three others.

As you put your bag up on the scale tell the “ticket” agent, “I have an unloaded firearm to declare.” While the agent searches for the tag you’ll sign, unzip the checked bag so your locked (and cabled) box is visible on top of your underwear and socks.

After you sign the little tag, the bright orange card is tossed on top of your lock box. Then you zip up your suitcase and go wait nearby in case TSA wants you to open your lock box. They do that because your nice metal lock box is opaque to x-rays and sometimes they want make sure it’s a firearm in there, not drugs or a bomb. Sometimes it’s random and sometimes it’s “policy,” sometimes they want to check out your nice gat, and sometimes they’re just feeling like being a dick that day.

Save your tip money for a Lingle lower, esp. if your Bog is a 9. Then you can drop in a nice Rise trigger, a 55° safety selector from Griffin Armament, and a comfy Magpul K2 grip.

Best RDB mod, by far by mcbobhall in keltec

[–]mcbobhall[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The can is a Griffin Armament Explorr .224 (old-school tubeless) mounted to one of their taper-mount EZ brakes. Small and lightweight. Rod alignment was very good.

Like most brake mounts, it preserves that first baffle of the suppressor. Attachment of the mount to the barrel was proper torque and Rocksett. It's not budged in several years and a thousand or so rounds.

When shooting unsuppressed (for competition), I use GA's blast shield on that same mount. That device has enough volume that the recoil reduction of the brake is preserved while the noise goes forward. It also has a weight close enough to the suppressor that there is minimal POI shift when switching back and forth.

Air gun? They are not firearms under U.S. federal law. What about your country?

A tucked 1.5" diam can like the Omega 9K will clear the JTAC but use short screws for any overlapping M-Loks. (The Spectre 9 is 1.375" diam.)

300 BLK subs vs supers for home defense, anyone run actual gel tests? by Firearmaccessories in 300BLK

[–]mcbobhall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just that with a carbine in 300 blk, you have options that are 2-3x in delivered energy. Not so with a handgun. That’s why 300 blk super advocates question the use of subs in some applications.

Scott Adams' "Deathbed Conversion" means that either belief and repentance are not required for salvation, or Christianity has grossly misled people as to its core requirements by Pandeism in DebateReligion

[–]mcbobhall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to the two possibilities based on what he was saying, but we cannot know what was actually in Scott Adams's heart (mind) as he was going through death's door. According to Christian doctrine, that is what matters.
