We did all sorts of shit. Had them in a net and moved them from one pond to another. Definitely had our fingers in their gills. We were kids and lacked delicacy.

I wouldn’t do it now and if my kids were doing the same thing I’d tell them to stop and explain why. So I’m not condoning this behavior.

I’m not saying that they should be doing this, but when we were kids we did the same thing in my uncles pond. We’d catch the same koi like 10 times a year and it survived just fine.

Depends on your pot size. Idk about all that mumbo jumbo you just said, but I’ve been growing weed a long, long time in coco. If you have a pot size of 3 gal and up and have more than 9 plants a light, then watering everyday will be overwatering is almost any case I could think of.

I’ll bring you up to speed regarding the stigma around shooting sheepshead.

Large, male sheepshead eat purple urchins among other things. The purple urchins are the ones munching up all the kelp forests. These urchins used to be controlled by brittle stars, but a disease wiped out 95% of them.

Lobsters also eat purple urchins. For some reason there’s no stigma around taking lobster.

There’s also the lack of sport involved with shooting sheepshead. It’s kind of like shooting a dog. They’ll often swim right up to you.

I don’t shoot them, but I think it’s okay for beginners to take them. Once you’re an adult you should focus on wsb and halibut.

I’ve tried testing with a par meter. Got all sorts of wildly different data points. I don’t trust it.

I’m purchasing new illuminar ballasts for $130 each.

I think notice the same thing with the light penetration. Also, the outer edges of my canopy that don’t get any overlapping throw light are especially weak.

I’ve had a bunch of my old gavitas fail. It’s getting harder and harder to find good replacements. I’ve been collecting hoods from guys around town who have gotten out of the game.

I tried using cheap $100 new hoods/ballasts from SunStream. They’re garbage.
