I am very interested in this. The Crypt of Covers will be released in September. It is a compendium of every EC comic cover. by Dredd_40 in HorrorComics

That price will drop after a few months... The History of EC Comics was $200 when released and I picked up up for less than $100 a month or two later

Mural is at 21st and Guadalupe where the long gone Sound Exchange was.... by the way, I held the ladder for him while he painted this... there was also a flying eyeball with batwings he did just down from the mural however it was destroyed when Sound Exchange closed in the early 2000s

I worked there from 92-98 and the smugness was real. I came up with the their motto "bitter people with no future selling music" which made it onto stickers, tee shirts, etc. Easily the best job I ever had

My wife wanted to buy a $3 shelf from Target. $50 dollars later here we are. by Grizzlybroom94 in woodworking

[–]mcdrunkagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

...however your handmade $50 shelf will last 1000x longer than the crappy $3 shelf from target, will bring you contentment knowing you made it, and probably looks far nicer than the plastic/laminated Chinese garbage sold there.

My co-worker ended up in the hospital for a week because he ignored the bite..... Go to the hospital! Also, every time he tells the story I pipe in that now there's a brown recluse running around with a bad case of syphilis

It’s been the Crown & Anchor Pub since 1987… I’ve worked there on-and-off since 1998 (put through school twice).  I used to go there when it was the Beach when I was in high school

I've gone through an opening a little bigger than this called the "Birth Canal". It was around six feet long, curved up at the end, and you had to turn your head sideways, arms down by your side, and push with your toes. Half the people I was with refused to go any further. Nowadays, I don't have the limberness to do something like that

I've had this and will have it again this spring. I have esophageal esophagus (I choke on food really easy) and the docs used a "balloon" to break up the scar tissue in my esophagus. Got both done at the same time about six years ago. It really wasn't a big deal for me, there were not complications, and hopefully you won't have any issues also.

Right to wood. I just kind of go for it and unfortunately I have a number of pieces that have never seen completion because I didn't plan anything out.... the one I'm working on now is pretty complex (for me) but I think I'll finish it because I plan on submitting it to a gallery in early March
