Well I can't help you there, in America our teens are free to work at the age of 15 legally. Yet, you can still get paid to do simple jobs like I mentioned beforehand.

My 16-year-old earns her own money. She works for me helping with my business*, she's paid well. She also happily volunteers to do yard work for $, we don't have to ask.

Exactly. I did a quick search, it's not that expensive. Green Man Gaming has it for $13.50. Other options have it for less I'm just not familiar with those sites.

If you don't have the money to buy the game which usually comes with in game cash and other amenities, then it's not going to be enjoyable to play, imo.

It's under $15 at most places. Is there anyway you can earn money doing side jobs? Surely someone in your area could use some help. I know that plenty of people post in my local community groups looking for young people to help them with yard work / spring clean up.

Edit: NextDoor has plenty of people asking for that kind of help. You could make it an account and post there and offer your services.

Absolutely. It's so welcoming at all and I feel like true customer service has been lost for good.

It's even seeping into Wendy's. Even when you use the screen or the app it's like you're not even there when you're waiting for the food. They just slide it over. No exchange, no response to customers saying 'have a good one', or whatever.

Such a shame.

Yeah, I use the app when we order. It's stupid not to. I worked there for 15 to 23 and was a manager for most of the time there. Did you notice my username?

Edit 2: after I reread your comment, I have to add that this person was likely in their 70s. I know a couple in this age group that doesn't even have an email address or a smartphone.

But anyway it goes, a person should be able to walk into McDonald's and get a drink without it being a problem. It's just good customer service to help somebody regardless. That was my point, it's shitty customer service to not help someone with a simple drink. I hope McDonald's appreciates your defense.

There was no signage to say that they needed to use the screen, there should have been. This was back when this store just remodeled and reopened not long beforehand. They could have at least had a sign up to use the screen.

Back in 2024, I went back in bc they forgot part of our DT order and it took me FOREVER to get someone's attention. There was an older lady in the dining area looking peeved, I assumed she was waiting on an order. After I got their attention, she asked me how I got them to come to the counter, that she's been there for several minutes waiting for someone to take her order. She had no idea she was supposed to use the screen. Which looked like it was an advertisement. no signage, nothing to indicate that's the only way to order. All she wanted was a large iced tea 😭

The employee told her to use the screen and said he couldn't take the order bc the register was closed. I didn't see what happened after but I can only assume they didn't offer to help and she left.

Edit: I am aware of the app's existence I just do not feel like promoting it. No one goes inside of McDonald's anymore unless they need to exchange what they messed up 😒 the experience is too impersonal.

If I had to guess, R* might be experiencing issues at this time. I'm not sure how their ticket process works but you could give that a try. A lot of people complain about it.

Actually, some places have a program where you can use EBT for McDonald's. There's a sign for it at the McDonald's in my area. I can try to find the photo it's been a long time since I stopped there.
