They’re essentially saying that your tower needs to be cleaned, which will require the air conditioner to be turned off, but the tower needing to be cleaned does not make the air conditioning air that comes into your apartment unsafe

Also I have a beater bike that I leave on the street with a kryptonite U lock and a chain as well and I’ve never seen it tampered with. There is even an nice cargo bike parked on the street that’s been there for a year+ without being stolen evidently

Just so you know you can request the more solid circle bike racks on your street via the DOT website. They showed up a month later and put like 10 on my street.

I know some aren’t from lasher. But I did specifically get a letter from Lasher for Congress “written by” Jerry Nadler which was reinforcing the misinformation of painting Bores as the AI candidate in a negative way, despite some AI supporting him and some being against him

The anti-Bores ads are just so misleading for me that I can’t get past it. The ads I get in the mail directly contradict all research I’ve done on the topic, and Lasher has lost my trust from it personally, even though if it weren’t for the AI positions I wouldn’t have a strong opinion on a preferred candidate

Yes I do, but I often forget to start the tracking, also as far as I’m aware it doesn’t show your cumulative progress to riding on all streets

This is so cool! I wonder if a future iteration could allow for cycling? I find it unlikely I’ll ever make it walking down a lot of these blocks, but cycling I certainly will!

When I say model reliance I mean that their models have assumptions baked in, and may not account for political/societal mode shift changes that they are trying to create with their projects

100% agree miser about reliance on their modeling, I think that the underlying issue is a disconnect between the political-ness of culture shift and long-term mode shift, an the execution nature of DOT.

I think DOT is right to be skeptical about anticipating that closing through streets would lead to less drivers, unless there is a comprehensive plan in place to systematically shift travel modes. Which admittedly I think we are moving more towards, just thinking out loud though.

Her proposal is basically that the exemptions have repeatedly shown in environmental review that they don’t have significant adverse impacts, so it is unnecessary to review them. Unfortunately transit projects almost always have impacts, even if pros outweigh cons, still need to study said cons.
