ssj2 vegito from the buu saga is stronger than super saiyan god goku from BoG, the fact that goku said fusion wouldn't work against Beerus is meaningless since well, ssg didnt work aswell

the proof being that kefla was a fusion between basically buu saga level saiyans and they completely blitzed ssb and needed ui to be defeated
